Hi everybody! My name is Francesca and I live in Genoa (Genova in Italian!), where I was born. I have a degree in Geology and licenses as a city guide and hiking guide. I worked for an oilfield company for few years long time ago, but I am working as a guide already since 30 years and collaborate with TBL since more than 10 years! I am always enthusiastic to meet new people and to involve them in the knowledge of my native region, Liguria. I like meeting new guests, walking with them, telling them about the nature and the history. . . cooking with them!! I am specialized in Genoa, but also in the Italian Riviera (Portofino, Camogli, Monterosso and many hidden little towns!)... Do you like to discover more about you ancestors in Liguria? Let me know, we can plan a research with a genealogist! Do you like to learn about the real ingredients for authentic local recipes, like pesto or focaccia genovese? We can go together to the market! Do you like to visit a private palace with incredible painted ceilings and great facilities?...why not? We can easily plan a customized tour: I am a certified, but I am not a driver, so I can arrange a vehicle if required or a cooking class or a tasting! Francesca

Our day together will be focus on discovering the area where I first started to work and discover my guide attitudes many years ago: Portofino and Santa Margherita. Discovering these two villages traveling by boat is incredible!. . . The Cape of Portofino is a Nature Park as well, so traveling by boat, walking around the towns or simply seat in a coffee give you the opportunity to discover this small peninsula between nature, history and local traditions.
The meeting point can be in Santa Margherita or Portofino (depending by where your ship tender's will land) and by ferry we explore the coastline between the two towns, studded with elegant villas and beautiful gardens: - Portofino: you still recognize the simple fishing town in the actual beautiful fashion town. We walk the main square and up to the view point of the Saint George church, and, if you like to the lighthouse! - Santa Margherita Ligure: a bigger town with a gorgeous church and many elegant painted buildings, here we can also enjoy a taste of the genoese "focaccia" NB on request it is possible to hire a private boat
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
