I'm a travel agent and a tour leader with 2 years of experience: since march 2017 I started to create my own experiential tours of Genoa aiming to make travellers feel the real atmosphere of the city. I like to share my passions such as good food, playing guitar and hiking and I deal with tourists as if they were my guests to convey all my love for the city to them. I love my city cause it's a really charming place with many things to do, there's a lot of history and art, mild climate, beautiful landscapes, there are mountains and of course there's the sea to which I feel pretty much connected. For each of my tours, my goal is to make the traveler be part of the local culture by sharing my interests and passions: I think it's better to learn something through having fun rather than just listening to mere information. This way I can even feel more enthusiasm for my job as I do what I like! Finally, as I want you to have the best experience in Genoa, I'm very flexible and ready to customize my tours according to your needs. I am a licensed tour leader and I licensed travel agent According to my tour leader license I cannot guide you inside museums, churches or archeological sites, although I can give you general information about those sites. I don't have the specific license to drive a vehicle with driver service.

Through this tour you will be able to dive into local culture in a very original way: at each stop of the tour you will try out carefully selected high-quality typical products, visit historical places which will be somehow related to Genoese culinary tradition and listen to stories, anecdotes, and legends that will help to disclose interesting details about history, culture, and character of inhabitants. I'm passionate about traditional food and cooking and I always have loved to discover what's behind the dishes too: why some ingredients are more used, what are the traditional cooking methods, but also how the tradition started and what's the origin of a certain food. . I'll be happy to answer all these questions and find many occasions to relate our food culture to the glorious history of the Maritime Republic of Genoa!
Alessandro was an exceptional guide. Intelligent, thoughtful and knowledgeable. He showed us many areas we would never have considered and native foods that we would never have tried. He kindly met and then delivered us back to port. We had a delightful day in Genoa with him.

We had a great time with Alessandro wandering round the historic old town and sampling food highlights of Genoa. The gelato was my highlight. I was also impressed with the local wine.
Alessandro was fantastic! He was beyond smart and knew the city inside and out. He showed us some very interesting "inside" information we definitely would not have seen on our own, and we ate some amazing food. He whisked us inside random shops and gave us tastes of some fantastic local authentic cuisine. If you're looking for great historical information and unbelievable food tastings, look no further than Alessandro! everything was great. Alessandro good guide and very nice person make a beautiful day in Genoa… very nice walking tour for the streets of old town of Genoa…. also we had a taste of genovese pasta and pizzas. was a great day!!!!
Our group of 6 had a great time walking an eating in Genoa with Alessandro. He met us at our ship port so we didn't have to search for a meeting place in an unfamiliar city.
- We will start from the beautiful Piazza S. Matteo and then stop at one of the best bakeries in town to taste the famous "focaccia". - Next, we'll get into the labyrinth of typical narrow streets and discover some charming spots such as Piazza delle Vigne and Piazza Banchi, and we'll stop by a handcraft pasta shop where we'll taste fresh pasta with local sauces like pesto and walnuts sauce. - Then we will get to the oldest part of the city, passing by the enchanting Piazza Campopisano, we'll have a glass of a good local wine and taste farinata and some savory cakes. - We will end the tour with ice cream/dessert at an old handcraft workshop. The Itinerary can be customized according to customer needs.
