Hi everybody! My name is Francesca and I live in Genoa (Genova in Italian!), where I was born. I have a degree in Geology and licenses as a city guide and hiking guide. I worked for an oilfield company for few years long time ago, but I am working as a guide already since 30 years and collaborate with TBL since more than 10 years! I am always enthusiastic to meet new people and to involve them in the knowledge of my native region, Liguria. I like meeting new guests, walking with them, telling them about the nature and the history. . . cooking with them!! I am specialized in Genoa, but also in the Italian Riviera (Portofino, Camogli, Monterosso and many hidden little towns!)... Do you like to discover more about you ancestors in Liguria? Let me know, we can plan a research with a genealogist! Do you like to learn about the real ingredients for authentic local recipes, like pesto or focaccia genovese? We can go together to the market! Do you like to visit a private palace with incredible painted ceilings and great facilities?...why not? We can easily plan a customized tour: I am a certified, but I am not a driver, so I can arrange a vehicle if required or a cooking class or a tasting! Francesca

Genova is a big city, but very much concentrated around its Old Port!. . . so it is EASY to discover it by foot. I will bring you to visit the heart of the ancient Republic and show you what I think it can be more relevant to let you understand its history!. . . Genova in the past had a Doge and a Bishop, exactly like Venice, but it started to be a city to visit not more than 20 years ago!. . . All to discover than!
We really enjoyed our time in Genoa with Francesca. We learned a lot about the city and our guide has a warm and easygoing style.
We did two tours with Franscea back to back She is very knowledgeable about any subject you wish commentary It was an enjoyable day and she adjust her tours to fit what you are interested in She knows many ot the merchants we visitedShe found my wife a jewelry store that was close when we arrived so she called the owner and asked them to open for us She arranged for our cab back to Rapallo
If you are looking for the best tour guide, we have ever had then Francesca is your woman. From my first communication with her, she was informative and knowledgeable. She created an amazing 2-day itinerary that included Genova and Cinque Terre. I'm already planning my next vacation and can't wait to go back to Genova and see Francesca. She is not only a tremendous tour guide but has become a great friend. She made the tour interesting and exciting for not only me and my husband but our 18-year-old son
Francesca is very knowledgeable about a lot of history of Genova. She showed the old town, the small roads leading to magnificent places we viewed from above. She also gave really great places to have lunch/dinner. A wonderful person to share the first time in Genova with.

Our tour from Genoa (Genova) was a complete surprise to all of our group. it was more than we expected. Absolutely beautiful! Francesca could not have been more pleasant or knowledgeable. She was a delight to spend the day with and I would highly recommend this tour with Her as your guide.
From our meeting point we start our discovery! These are the five attractions I will show you: - Cathedral of Saint Laurence, with its majestic gothic facade and its interesting restoration after World War Two - the Doge Palace, where the main representative of the Genoese Nobility used to live, that today is a museum for different temporary exhibitions - Piazza De Ferrari, the border between the city of the Middle Ages and the city of the XIX century, with its fountain and the elegant eclectic buildings - Via Garibaldi, the "Strada Nuova" with the majestic noble palaces, built to be private banks - the several bakeries where we will taste our great focaccia!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
