Buongiorno from Genoa! My name is Sandra, thank you for visiting my profile! I am a professional guide working in Genoa, the Italian Riviera and surroundings. I have travelled in different countries for pleasure and work and in the end I fell in love with Liguria, what an unexpected land! I have worked in the tourism industry since 1988, being based in Genoa since 1991, when I became a licensed Tour Leader. I have been working since 2003, as a licensed Tourist Guide, in the city of Columbus and Pesto sauce. I have been living, in this tiny corner of Italy, squeezed between mountains and sea, for decades. Liguria is where I have found my happiness. I consider care in details, empathy, flexibility and a capacity for sharing, to be as valuable qualities for a guide, no less so than having a proper regularly updated cultural preparation. I want to be your host and share with you this beautiful territory. My skills and expertise have been refined over the years and my current activities include giving guided tours in Genova, the surrounding areas and the Italian Riviera. My hobbies include travel, cinema, environment, home style. Being me Italian I love high quality food and wine and being originally from Veneto, I love sparkling bubbling Prosecco! Let me show you the way to hidden treasures and to the sumptuous Rolli's Palaces of Strada Nuova, Unesco World Heritage Patrimony. Naturally we will visit the house of Christopher Columbus, Palazzo Ducale, Cathedral San Lorenzo and Castelletto for the best "panorama". This is Genoa of the "golden age" and Genoa "here and now". Our time with Sandra was a great introduction to Genova. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the city and how the Genovese became a European powerhouse as sea merchants and financiers. We saw some amazing views of the city and beautiful architecture. Our stops for focaccia and panera were a bonus. Sandra was flexible, adjusting the tour time to meet our arrival time, and suggested many places to visit not covered on our tour. She is very warm, friendly, and delightful. We recommend that you book your Genova tour with Sandra.

We enjoyed our tour with Sandra. She did a great job of giving us an overview of the city, pointing out the sites from an elevated perch so we could get a feel for the layout. She took us on a bus ride, a focaccia sampling, and a freddo latte. She provided just the right amount of historical information, and advised us on things we could do and see on our own. I highly recommend her tour.
