The Secrets of Genoa - Half Day Storytelling Tour

There's much to see in Genoa, although you need to pay attention to details to better appreciate the charm of the old town and its secrets. I'll take you to the oldest part of the historical center of Genoa and we'll walk off the beaten track : you'll get to know some history of the ancient maritime republic by listening to original stories accompanied by the sound of the guitar and discover the most charming spots which you would hardly find by yourself. I'm a songwriter and I've personally written all the stories/songs. In Genoa there's a strong songwriting tradition that had an important influence on the development of the whole Italian music starting from the 50s. I was born and raise here and know how charming the city is if it's seen from the right perspective: my mission is to make you learn about the glorious past of Genoa and the characteristic of its inhabitants through live music, legends and anecdotes. It's gonna be a fun and a unique experience!

- We'll explore the picturesque medieval district of Carmine where you'll listen to a song about the lively atmosphere of the past and then you'll admire the beautiful Renaissance noble palaces in Via Lomellini. - We'll pass by Sottoripa, an historical street where trade began to flourish since the Middle ages. - We'll pass by the castle hill and visit the colourful square of Campopisano where you'll listen to other songs about legends and important historical facts. - We'll walk along the legendary Redbeard walls and learn about history through music and finally get to Porta Soprana, one of the gate of the old town, very close to Christopher Colombus house.
