I was born in Budapest in 1967 and I have always lived in this beautiful city. Qualified in 1993, I work as a full-time professional tour guide in the Hungarian capital. Out of showing the most beautiful sights and monuments, I would like to present our culture, traditions and everyday life in my way: brought to life with many personal stories and memories. My main profile is organizing walking tours in Budapest, e. g. : a comprehensive WORLD HERITAGE TOUR and shorter walks to explore the good old Buda Castle, the hidden treasures of the City Park or the dramatic sites of FAITH, COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP and THE 1956 NATIONAL REVOLUTION. My main hobbies are studying about arts and history, as well as organizing tours, excursions and club activities for tour guides in Budapest as a member of the national tour guide association. It is an other story: I am also a member of the Hungarian Vegan association. Licensed guide in English and Italian, national certification in 1993. Graduated in art history. My tours are only by walking and using public transportation. While I'm not a driver, I can arrange private car/van for you if needed.

During two days we will cover the most important monuments of Budapest with their stories and legends and the amazing urban landscape. Together will explore both sides of the river, with two main cathedrals, a great synagogue, the Medieval castle quarter, the Parliament, Market hall, Heroes' Square. These are also the best places to take photos. We can follow a flexible itinerary discussed in advance. You will explore the city in a relaxed way. If you have mobility issues, we can walk in a slower pace, we will often use the excellent public transport service of the city, and we will sit down whenever you wish. Two days will offer enough time to go into the details and respond to all your questions. You will see thousands of buildings as a visible heritage of the last 200 years of history. While exploring the monuments, we will recall the good old days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but also the events of the nightmarish WW2, the scary Communist dictatorship and the brave 1956 national revolution.
My proposal: 1st day: - Visit Buda Castle, the Royal Palace, Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion - Enjoy the view of the Danube and its bridges. - Take a bus/subway across the river and go to the Pest side to visit St Stephen's Basilica and the Danube bank. - The tour can end in Pest center at the main shopping street Váci utca. 2nd day: - Start around the Parliament. - Take a tram and go for a shopping in the Central Market Hall (except Sunday). - Walk to the Great Synagogue and the Jewish quarter. - Take the old metro (built in 1896) with a quick stop to explore Andrassy Avenue and the Opera Theatre. - Visit Heroes' Square, the City Park, its Romantic castle and Szechenyi termal bath. We can follow a flexible schedule: 2 half days, 1.5 days or 2 full days, as you prefer. In case of a full day tour we can have a lunch break during the tour. Thus a full day tour will normally take 5-6 hours without lunch time. Optional inner visits of the sights, skip-the line church entries are possible.
