Szentendre, called often the Soho of Budapest is full of artisan shops, coffees, restaurants, and galleries. Walking in its cobblestones streets one can feel like in a movie scene. The enchanting baroque houses, ancient churches, street musicians and artists make a perfect atmosphere for a pleasant walk and tasting some Hungarian wines. That has been always my favorite place to find qualm on the Danube shore promenade, or wandering on the cozy streets, chatting with local street artist or just look for something unique in the shops. Private tour! In case you are more, ten six, ask for a personal offer! THIS IS A PRIVATE TOUR, WHEN YOU ARE LESS, THEN 6 PERSON, ASK FOR CUSTOMIZED TOUR!
Our guide, Ildiko, was put in the hospital and another guide (Edith) took her place. This was absolutely fine with us. She was very easy to talk to and made sure we were having a good time. The only down-side I would say about the tour is that I feel it is overpriced. Szentendre is a very quaint little town with interesting shops and museums, but not really worth the $500.00 we spent for the tour.
Very knowledgable and accommodating, interesting in answers to our questions, and showed us a variety of places in and near Szentendre. The marzipan museum was most unique!! And at the wine tasting she showed quite a knowledge of local wines. The ride was very comfortable going and coming back, and our driver helpful in loading us in and out. A wonderful excursion from the city, even in the changeable weatheer.
Another 5+ rating. Ildiko was knowledgeable and entertaining. Good English skills and funny. I would recommend and use her again.
After picking you up we head to Szentendre, where you can learn of the city's rich history and its vivid present. we visit the Christmas Museum, the Marzipan Museum - home to workshop, shop and exhibition -. the old parish church of the settlement, and if you are an artlover, you can visit some of the numerous galleries displaying contemporary art. The highlight of the trip is the winetaste, accompied by some snacks, and coldplate of Hungarian delicacies. - visit Maetipan Museum - visit Kovacs Margit Gallery optional -visit Christian Museum - taste the best lángos if Hungary - taste a selection of Hungarian wines
