From the moment we met her, you could tell she genuinely enjoys sharing her love for Budapest and is deeply proud of her Hungarian heritage. Having grown up during the Communist era, she provided fascinating firsthand insights into what life was like before and after the political changes. Her personal experiences added a level of authenticity and depth that you simply can’t get from a guidebook. What made the tour truly special was that it never felt like a tour. It felt as though a longtime friend was proudly showing us her hometown and sharing its history, culture, and hidden stories. Our day with Dalia went by quickly. She was well prepared and brought a handy notebook of photos, graphics and historical details that provide additional insight into what we were seeing. She communicated in a thoughtful and thorough manner and was genuinely interested in our questions and observations. This was our first day in Budapest and she made it a memorable one.
