Combine a day of enjoying Munich's finest beers with the rich history of Munich. We start the day with a traditional Weisswurst Frühstück and then take a stroll through the old town of Munich with a special focus on WWII history. We will see the famous Hofbräuhaus, and other great beer halls or beer gardens of Munich. As we visit the most famous sites of the city, City Hall, Glockenspiel, Viktualienmarkt, Frauenkirche, etc. we make plenty of rest stops to soak in the culture! Munich is famous for its beer, its beer gardens, and its many beer halls. Join me, a certified Bier Sommelier, and dive in to the Bavarian Beer scene. We'll explore the traditional Bavarian beer styles of Weissbier, Helles, Dunkels and some of the seasonal beers, as available. In addition to learning about the finer points of these beers, you'll learn all about the Bavarian beer culture, food pairings, glass selection, and much more!
I initially found Scott because I was looking for information on how to visit Andechs Brewery from Munich, but I ended up booking a 2-day tour of Munich with him. I couldn't be happier with the experience: Scott is extremely well-prepared, knowledgeable, and organized, and has extensive connections in the industry. He made me feel extremely welcome and was accommodating to my requests and interests.
When Scott says he's gonna spend the whole day with you-he means it! Meeting up with him was easy and he took us to places that we never would've found on our own. In a city like Munich, it was nice to just follow someone and learn. He stopped at all the right times for beer and taught our group tons. He also taught us how to navigate the biergarten experience. There was just enough history and the right amount of beer. Especially at a few off the beaten path spots!
Scott is a super knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. If you are a beer drinker, you should definitely book Scott for a tour! If you are not, he will certainly cater the tour to make sure you see what you are most interested in seeing. Scott was fantastic!
There were four of us on this tour. Scott is an excellent guide & provided us with a most enjoyable & informative tour. He explained the history of Munich & the Bavarian region extremely well. We all had a great day & definitely would recommend Scott to English speaking travellers.
