The Beer and History of Munich

Combine a day of enjoying Munich's finest beers with the rich history of Munich. We start the day with a traditional Weisswurst Frühstück and then take a stroll through the old town of Munich with a special focus on WWII history. We will see the famous Hofbräuhaus, and other great beer halls or beer gardens of Munich. As we visit the most famous sites of the city, City Hall, Glockenspiel, Viktualienmarkt, Frauenkirche, etc. we make plenty of rest stops to soak in the culture! Munich is famous for its beer, its beer gardens, and its many beer halls. Join me, a certified Bier Sommelier, and dive in to the Bavarian Beer scene. We'll explore the traditional Bavarian beer styles of Weissbier, Helles, Dunkels and some of the seasonal beers, as available. In addition to learning about the finer points of these beers, you'll learn all about the Bavarian beer culture, food pairings, glass selection, and much more!

- I will pick you up from your hotel or mutually agreed-upon starting point. - We will start our day with the Bavarian "second breakfast" which is Weisswurst (boiled white sausages), a pretzel, and a Weissbier. - We then tour the main historical sites of the cities - Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Asam Kirche, Viktualienmarkt, Hofbraeuhaus, etc. The history of Munich intertwines with the beer culture and we will make several stops to taste the various beer and I'll also help you choose some great Bavarian foods to pair with your beer!
