Nice to meet you. Born in Munich in 1966, I have lived here with my family most of my life. At the age of 16 I had the opportunity to spend two years in California. An experience that has influenced my life ever since. Not only did I learn (and learn to love) the English language and the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, it also broadened my view on both my hometown and origin. Being a tour guide is such a rewarding job, as I love to meet new people from all over the world and show them MY Munich. Strolling around this city is really fun and all the famous sights are quite close together downtown! There is so much to discover: the Gothic Frauenkirche, the Glockenspiel at Marienplatz, parks and palaces. . . Or would you like to try a glass of beer at the Hofbräuhaus, eat out in one of our famous Beer Gardens or go shopping at the Viktualienmarkt, a beautiful market where you can find the finest cheese, spices, fruit and vegetables, flowers and local craftsmanship? One of the top sites is of course the fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein in the Alps. I could take you on a day-trip through the wonderful countryside and show you the castle, picturesque villages and amazing churches on the way. But Munich also played a sad, important role in the rise of the Third Reich. During my tour of Dachau I will also show you the related sites in Munich for a deeper understanding of this dark era. When giving tours, my approach is always to give you a very personal, private tour and therefore an individual experience. It's not the amount of sites we "tick off", it is about why this church has been built, who is the king that turned his dreams into stunning reality. I want to show you my cultural heritage and let you be part of it. Being a licensed driver guide I can pick you up conveniently at your hotel and I will be with you throughout the tour, accompany you in the castles and also guide you at the destinations we visit, so you can simply lean back and enjoy! No matter if you are here for just a short period of time or a whole week - I will show you this wonderful city at your own pace, according to your wishes. Please feel free to contact me for any further information. Looking forward to meeting YOU! - Ausbildungslehrgang Reiseleiterin (Tour guide Travel Training Course) - Chamber of commerce degree: Certified Chauffeur - Commercial Driver's Licence allowing the transport of up to 8 passengers - Licensed guide for the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial The Bavarian castle administration does not allow private tours in some of the castles (such as Neuschwanstein e.g.). I will accompany you during the tour but a licensed guide will give the tour.

Our drive along the Romantic Road will lead us through countless little villages that date back to Medival Times and even longer. Our first stop is at Harburg, one of the best preserved castles in Southern Germany. Another highlight is Dinkelsbuehl, a colorful little town packed with cute half-timbered houses and a church that partly goes backt to the early 13th century. Rothenburg is a unique treasure as the historic centre has remained unchanged for centuries. Discover during a stroll through the medieval alleys the charm of this former proud and independent Reichsstadt (imperial city). From the market square with the Gothic and Renaissance townhall to the Lutheran St. Jakobs Church, around the fortified wall with countless towers and bastions we will see neat little houses and cobble stone streets, all witnesses of times long gone by.
Start is in Munich. We will drive along the Romantic road to Rothenburg. Along the way we will have a quick picture stop at Harburg, a medieval fortress overlooking the picturesque Muritz-Valley. We continue on the Romantic Road, passing cute villages, to Dinkelsbuehl, a colorful little town that has kept its charme for more than five centuries. In Rothenburg we will do a walking tour to see the many historic sites and if desired can have lunch. Return to Munich via Autobahn.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
I will drive you to Rothenburg (app. 2,5-3 hours) in my new Peugeot Rifter with A/C. In the town of Rothenburg cars are not allowed (!) we will walk through the old town on mostly cobble stone. Please note two seats in the very back have a little less leg room and does not have its own door, so it is suitable for young guests only
