Nice to meet you. Born in Munich in 1966, I have lived here with my family most of my life. At the age of 16 I had the opportunity to spend two years in California. An experience that has influenced my life ever since. Not only did I learn (and learn to love) the English language and the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, it also broadened my view on both my hometown and origin. Being a tour guide is such a rewarding job, as I love to meet new people from all over the world and show them MY Munich. Strolling around this city is really fun and all the famous sights are quite close together downtown! There is so much to discover: the Gothic Frauenkirche, the Glockenspiel at Marienplatz, parks and palaces. . . Or would you like to try a glass of beer at the Hofbräuhaus, eat out in one of our famous Beer Gardens or go shopping at the Viktualienmarkt, a beautiful market where you can find the finest cheese, spices, fruit and vegetables, flowers and local craftsmanship? One of the top sites is of course the fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein in the Alps. I could take you on a day-trip through the wonderful countryside and show you the castle, picturesque villages and amazing churches on the way. But Munich also played a sad, important role in the rise of the Third Reich. During my tour of Dachau I will also show you the related sites in Munich for a deeper understanding of this dark era. When giving tours, my approach is always to give you a very personal, private tour and therefore an individual experience. It's not the amount of sites we "tick off", it is about why this church has been built, who is the king that turned his dreams into stunning reality. I want to show you my cultural heritage and let you be part of it. Being a licensed driver guide I can pick you up conveniently at your hotel and I will be with you throughout the tour, accompany you in the castles and also guide you at the destinations we visit, so you can simply lean back and enjoy! No matter if you are here for just a short period of time or a whole week - I will show you this wonderful city at your own pace, according to your wishes. Please feel free to contact me for any further information. Looking forward to meeting YOU! - Ausbildungslehrgang Reiseleiterin (Tour guide Travel Training Course) - Chamber of commerce degree: Certified Chauffeur - Commercial Driver's Licence allowing the transport of up to 8 passengers - Licensed guide for the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial The Bavarian castle administration does not allow private tours in some of the castles (such as Neuschwanstein e.g.). I will accompany you during the tour but a licensed guide will give the tour.

Nymphenburg, the summer residence of the Wittelsbach dynasty, is located in the West of Munich in a wonderful garden park. Next to the impressive main building there are 4 small private, yet even more intimate and special palaces in the park, waiting to be discovered. To me the castle is like a hidden gem and what makes it so special is that you can still see the original interior exactly like the duke had seen it 250 years ago! During our tour I will lead you around the castle, show you the Schönheitsgallerie (36 paintings of the most beautiful women of the 19th century and tell you their amazing background) and the Royal bedchamber (where fairy-tale king Ludwig II. was born). Then we will stroll through the Baroque garden with its water fall and fountains and visit tiny Amalienburg (an all but humble hunting lodge), a private bathing palace, a "Chinese" pavilion and a chapel in a grotto. You will get an insight into courtlife centuries ago and enjoy a walk through one of the most beautiful parks in Munich!
- While we ride to and from the castle (with my minivan) I will give you a small sightseeing tour of Munich. At Nymphenburg we will visit - the main castle that was built between the 1670s and 1750s, - the carriage and china museum (as the royal family had had porcelain manufactured right there and it is till running!) - stroll through the park and see the unique private palaces (Please note: the small park palaces are only open during summer time, the main palace, former stable, porcelain exhibiton and park is open throughout the year) At the end of our tour I will drop you off at your hotel or where you want to be dropped of in the city.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Transport with my new Peugeot Rifter (A/C) to get to the castle and then we will walk through the park. Please note that the two seats in the very back have a little less leg room and are suitable for younger people only.
