I grew up in Munich and its wonderful suburbs and live now for more than 30 years with my husband and our two daughters in the pulsing heart of the city - the Gärtnerplatz. It is a meeting and melting point where you can daily experience the modern spirit of Munich. Even as a child I was always fascinated by history, art and of course by travelling. That's why I studied art history, anthropology and archeology in Munich. As a student I travelled around the word, visiting historical highlights and meeting so many friendly local people. They showed me their countries and allowed me to participate. Thereafter I started working as a tour guide for Studiosus - the biggest study trip company in Europe. I am specialized in the Benelux-States and the Southern States. In the same time I started as a tour guide in Munich to give back some of the wonderful experiences I made on my trips. Munich is a wonderful, adorable and cute city with many hidden places to discover. Let me show you either the landmarks of the City - like Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, Residenz or Frauenkirche as well look with me behind the curtain to experience the secrets of Munich - off the track. The Bavarian lifestyle, the food, the beer and the heritage are indescribable - its worth to encounter our habits, try our food and beer and discover our folklore. Join me on a journey through the centuries, experience the pulsating modern city and listen to the powerful history and exciting anecdotes. Also enjoy the stories about the Bavarian Cuisine, the traditional dresses and folkways that accompanies us through the year.
Your Munich tour itinerary
• Marienplatz - New and Old Town Hall and the world-famous Glockenspiel • St. Peter's Church • Viktualienmarkt & Hofbräuhaus • Maximilanstreet • The National Theater • The Royal Residence • Odeonsplatz with the Feldherrnhalle . . . and of course Munich's landmark, the Frauenkirche. This tour can last two or three hours and if the weather is good, we can stop at the beer garden at the Viktualienmarkt. If not, we can stop for a beer in the Hofbräuhaus. . .
