Munich In-Depth: 3 hour Walking Tour

We will begin our tour at an old city gate at Karlsplatz Stachus. From there you will discover the interesting beginnings of the city of Munich, how it transformed into a wealthy medieval town, and on to the great European city it is today. You will learn about the rulers of Bavaria, how they ruled, and why Munich today is so thriving and attractive. We'll talk about what Munich is today, including the famous beer fests, Bavarian traditions and clothing. I can make restaurant and shopping recommendations during the tour--the famous big places and the small, hidden gems. We will also cover topics regarding the Third Reich, since it had its birth in Munich, and how Munich has dealt with its past.
