Come along and discover Munich and Bavaria with me as your guide - when it just has to be that little bit better! I was born in the city where other people love to go on holiday: Munich, perhaps the most beautiful city in the world? And I have one of the most fantastic professions: as a tour guide, I show visitors from all over the world around Munich. It's not just about the typical highlights, but also about hidden corners, anecdotes and the many stories about my city, whether they may be true or not. Without a doubt, Munich is a city that offers everything at once: a long, eventful history, destruction, reconstruction, all the way to its development into one of the most liveable cities in the world. And then, of course, there is the indescribable Bavarian lifestyle, which I would like to share with you. This includes, of course, the good Bavarian food, the beer and the typical Bavarian cosiness. As a certified guide of the Dachau memorial site, I am allowed to professionally guide you around the grounds of the former concentration camp. It is my concern to make a contribution so that we can all try to understand the incomprehensible a little better. Whether you come with me to Munich, Dachau or other extraordinary places in Bavaria: YOU WILL COME AS A VISITOR AND LEAVE AS A FRIEND :-) Official guide of the Bavarian state capital of Munich Certified taxi-guide of the Bavarian state capital of Munich Certified tour guide of Dachau Memorial Site Member of the Munich guide society Member of the German guide society BVGD certified according to DIN-EN-standards Due to Corana, the purchase of a new car had to be postponed. For this reason, I currently only accompany you on foot, in your car or in a separate car with a driver.

Very likely, you can read hundreds of different books about Dachau, but seeing the original site yourself is quite another - a very emotional experience. Dachau - synonym and symbol of inhuman Nazi murder machinery, place of crime, suffering and death. From 1933 to 1945, the Dachau concentration camp existed, located in the northwest of Munich. Dachau was the only one of all later concentration camps that existed for all 12 years. Here, already in the very early years, the so-called "Disciplinary and Punishment Code " was created, which later became obligatory for all other concentration camps. Intentionally or not: Dachau became a kind of "model concentration camp" for the later entire concentration camp system. As a licensed guide in Dachau, it is my urgent need to offer visitors a professional tour that will help you answer the question that is, in my eyes, the most important question: "How could all this happen?"
By default, we start this tour from your hotel in Munich and head for Dachau by public transport. The very pleasant ride on the Munich S-Bahn and bus number 726 takes just under 40 minutes from Munich Central Station. Arriving at the memorial site, we begin our tour and visit almost the entire site. Among other things, we will pass through the entrance gate with the inscription "Arbeit macht frei" ("Work sets you free"), visit the permanent exhibition in the former maintenance building, take a look inside one of the reconstructed barracks and finally visit the most emotional place of the memorial: the crematorium in the northwest of the site, where the cemetery in the form of mass graves is also located. In addition to arriving by public transport, there are of course other ways of getting there, e. g. in your car or by cab (extra costs). Feel free to ask me about the possibilities.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
By public transport. Transfer options can be customized according to your wishes (e.g. transfer by cab)

The meeting point is either your hotel—if it’s in or near Munich's Old Town—or simply by arrangement. PLEASE LET ME ALWAYS KNOW WHERE YOU’LL BE STAYING IN MUNICH. If your hotel is further out, I’ll suggest an easy-to-reach central meeting point once the booking is confirmed.
