Servus and welcome to Bavaria! My name is Stefanie – a born-and-raised Münchner Kindl – and I'd love to take you hiking in the Bavarian Alps. Munich sits right on the doorstep of the mountains, so this is your chance to treat yourself to one of my hand-selected hiking tours with unforgettable views and authentic food. You have never hiked in the mountains before? No problem. I have a range of tours for every fitness level. You are more of a pro already? Let me know and we will work out a more challenging hike. Either way, let me worry about tedious tour and itinerary planning, weather conditions, good views and food. As a trained hiking guide, I know plenty of paths off the beaten track that are accessible even for beginners. And with an MA in Language, Cultural and Business Studies (obtained in Germany, Scotland and France), I've accumulated a healthy mix of useful (and useless ;-)) knowledge about Alpine culture and regional history which I share on my tours. The Alps are dear to me, and protecting them matters. That's why I rely on public transport wherever possible. However, I am also happy to arrange a private driver for a more exclusive trip. I look forward to sharing an unforgettable day in the mountains with you soon! Stefanie Qualifications: - Mountain Hiking Guide (Bergwanderleiterin / Trainer C) - MA in Language, Cultural and Business Studies - BA Hons in International Management and Intercultural Studies - I am not a licensed driver. Therefore, all my listed tours are conducted by train. However, I am happy to accompany you in your own vehicle or I can arrange for a vehicle and driver.

A scenic train ride along the German Alpine Road brings us to Bayrischzell and one of our favourite short hikes. Don't let the modest distance fool you – the route winds along rugged paths (some surefootedness required!), across bridges and past waterfalls and rockpools, before rewarding us with sweeping views of the Bavarian foothills and a yummy lunch at a beautiful mountain farm. On the way back, a Kneipp facility invites you to try your luck with some traditional hydrotherapy. Plunging your feet into ice-cold mountain water sounds extreme – but step out of that pool and you'll swear you never walked a single metre. Refreshed and revived, we stroll through the charming village of Bayrischzell, its historic houses gathered at the foot of the iconic Wendelstein. Along the way, you'll discover how the Wendelstein and other mountains got their names. To close the day on a high note, we'll make a brief stop at an exceptional local pastry shop. So yummy! Available from mid-April to the end of October.
