Journey through Bordeaux history and a Wine Chateau private visit
Overview of your Bordeaux tour
Let me show you in a day, some of the French most beautiful buildings and historic monuments in the city and some of the French most famous vineyards out of the city. Only in this way you can feel that you truly know Bordeaux. During our time together I will take you through unique squares and sites of Bordeaux some of them dating back to medieval times. I will tell you the history of the city nicknamed the 'Dark Capital' and also 'Sleeping Beauty', going through the most important periods from Eleonor of Aquitaine who married French and English Kings to World War II and the Nazi Occupation of the city. We will accompany the stroll with some traditional pastry and if you wish we can have a little coffee break on a terrace. After lunch, our driver will bring us to a famous Wine chateau of the Grave appellation located a 30 min. drive from the city. In a private visit you will discover its vat room and cellars and taste its delicious wines. I will customize the tour based on your interests and preferences.

Our journey will begin with a two hour and half walking private tour of the historical part of Bordeaux which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage: -The spectacular Place de la Bourse -Bordeaux Cathedral St. Andre -La tour Pey-Berland -Medieval Gate-Porte Cailhau -Le Grand Theatre de Bordeaux -Les Quais and the Place des Quinconces Lunch in a nice bistronomique restaurant, in a local brasserie or on the terrace of a French Food Market with a plate of cheese and charcuterie. Private visit and tasting in one of the beautiful Grand Cru Classe chateaux de Graves appellation (Chateau Latour-Martillac, Chateau Carbonnieux, Chateau Haut-Bailly, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion. . . )
