Hello and welcome! I’m Marina, a passionate local guide in Bordeaux, a city I have lovingly called home since 2018. I have a deep love for history, culture, and the simple pleasures of French life, and I truly enjoy sharing them in a warm and welcoming way. For me, guiding is not just about showing places — it’s about making you feel comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely welcome from the very first moment. My journey as a guide has been shaped by an international life and a natural love for people and stories. Over the years, I have learned that the most meaningful experiences happen when travelers feel at ease and free to be themselves. I see every guest not as a tourist, but as a welcome visitor in my home — and Bordeaux as the city I am proud to open and share with you, just as I would with a friend. Bordeaux is full of beauty beyond its well-known sights. Along with the highlights, I love guiding guests through quiet streets, hidden corners, and favorite local spots — from charming wine bars to beloved pastry shops known mainly to locals. I enjoy sharing history, everyday traditions, and little secrets that bring the city to life in a gentle and engaging way. My greatest priority is to make every tour comfortable, interesting, and truly memorable. We explore the city at your rhythm, with time to pause, ask any questions, and simply enjoy being there. I warmly invite you to discover Bordeaux with me and would be delighted to welcome you for a personal and unforgettable experience.

Overview of your Bordeaux tour

This three-hour walking tour is designed to be comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable. The experience feels more like a pleasant walk with a local friend than a traditional guided tour. If you wish, we can also pause for a tea, coffee, or a glass of wine along the way. As a local , I enjoy guiding visitors away from the usual tourist paths. During our walk we discover elegant architecture, charming streets, and picturesque corners that many travelers never notice. Throughout the tour we travel gently through time. Through stories , you will learn about daily life in Bordeaux in the past and about the people who helped shape the history of the city and France. Our walk takes us across centuries — from the Roman origins of Bordeaux, through the Middle Ages and the city’s golden 18th-century era with its beautiful neoclassical architecture, and finally into modern Bordeaux.

Your Bordeaux tour itinerary

- We begin our walk near the Grand Théâtre, one of the most beautiful examples of 18th-century neoclassical architecture in Bordeaux. - From here, we stroll through elegant streets and a charming gallery passage toward the main square. - Our walk continues to the impressive Saint-André Cathedral, where we talk about the medieval history of Bordeaux. - Then, we will also see one of the remaining medieval gates that once protected the city. - From there, we make our way toward the river and the famous Place de la Bourse, one of Bordeaux’s most iconic landmarks. - Here we will enjoy the famous Water Mirror and beautiful views over the Garonne River. - From the riverfront you will also see the historic Pont de Pierre, the first stone bridge built in Bordeaux.
