I was born in Barcelona, and lived in Valencia Spain for my first years . My dad was a true englishman and mother from Chile, which makes me a eclectic mut ! As a child lived first in Honduras, but by the age of 7 was in the UK for the next six years , first in Islington London and then Hastings, east Sussex (boarding school ), that's where I got a distinct fluent english , which makes me easily understood and sets me apart from most of my piers with heavy south american accents. . Finally Argentinal would be my last stop , finishing secundary school years in a english boarding school , near the city of Cordoba, La Cumbre, saint Paul's school. In 1990 my parents decided to settle in Santiago de Chile , maybe the recovery of democracy helped in this crucial decision. After studying hotel administration in Santiago I became a flight attendant for then Lan Chile , for almost four years. I was then introduced into receptive tourism by a friend who knew well the industry , I knew from getgo, it was going to be my bag. I enjoy showing the diversity of my country , with rich culture, history and traditions, and also appreciate meeting different walks of life. Like wine , I believe in doing things with passion and dedication, including detailed customized tours , restaurant or vineard reservations, , in high season and many other small but crucial details that in the end, make a unforgetable and memorable experience. With more than 25 years in the trade, I feel confident providing quality time, making sure to meet clients needs and avoiding when possible tourist traps. Hotel and restaurant administration, at CET, Centro de estudios turisticos. First aid course. Pre -columbian cultures course, at pre-columbian museum. Professional driver's license . 23 years experience as a tour guide in central Chile for companies like Travel Art, South American Tours , DMC (destination management chile) , which caters cruises , or Upscape , among others. Flight attendant for then Lan Chile for almost four years, flying from Santiago to New York, Miami, L.A. or Madrid and most south american capitals , incuding Easter Island in the middle of the Pacific. No restrictions.

With a colourful 120 km drive heading west towards the coast from Santiago, we first cross a fruit valley called curacavi . Valparaiso, also known as the pearl of the Pacific during the eighteen hundreds, is an eclectic city port, with rich history and interesting features like funiculars that connect the hills with the financial centre, antique American made trolleybuses built in the nineteen fifties. Here we can walk through narrow cobbled streets and enjoy some of the bohemian art, from murals to graffiti. In 2003 Valparaiso was named world heritage site by Unesco and especially on Concepcion and Alegre hills you can really feel that presence in the bright pastel coloured houses. Lunch overlooking the bay would be a good suggestion. Before leaving the coast, we do a glimpse of the nearby seaside resort city Viña del Mar. On the way back there are several winery options, one being Bodegas Re , a small winery that does unique blends like blending Cab. with Carignan or pink moscat with pinot noir, etc.
- Head northwest towards Valparaiso - Once at the port, park near the headquarters of the Chilean " armada " building, in Sotomayor plaza - Experience a ride on an old funicular that connects to famous Concepcion and Alegre hills, where we can do a mural and graffiti walk, going through narrow alley's that end up in scenic promenade viewpoints - Lunch at one of several seafood restaurants at the port is for many a must! - A short drive north and a brush of Viña del Mar, also known as the garden city, for its well maintained trimmed trees and manicured gardens - While heading back, we then stop at Casablanca's Bodegas Re boutique vineard for wine tasting and brief introduction. This is Pablo Morande's own little wine project , he discovered the Casablanca valley for it's wine potential in 1982, and is considered a visionary within the last 30 years. They only produce 45000 bottles per/year and have unique blends! - Back to the hotel The itinerary can be customized according to your preferences and interests.
