Andes Mountain Panoramic

What great day we had with Leoncio and JP . From the moment we got into the van we felt welcomed.. The tour gives u such a great experience and awesome places that we wouldn't have been to see .. Leoncio picked out great places for us to see stretch our legs and use restrooms.. They were very conscious our safety.. We chose this tour because of the views of the Andes and the volcano.... Leoncio explained a lot to us about the cities we passed thru on the way up... We stopped a few times for pics and have to say it's was amazing.. Leoncio picked a great place for a picnic, awesome charcuterie with wines and beer . JP got us to all places safely and was quite a jokester .. Leoncio was able to slide in a winery stop and that was very nice of him to do for us... What a great day 10 Stars highly recommend Leoncio tours.. I hope to visit again and I'd definitely book Leoncio again!!

This excursion was an outstanding way to end our 22 day vacation and one of the best days of our entire trip. The drive into San José de Maipo and the Andes was beautiful, with great views of the Maipo River, the mountains, and several well planned scenic stops. Our guide, Leo, was excellent. He was funny, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about Chile, and clearly enjoys teaching and sharing what makes the country special. The stops near San José Volcano and El Yeso Dam offered incredible views and photo opportunities. Seeing two condors soaring over the Andes was unforgettable. Leo’s driver, JP, was fantastic and made the mountain roads feel safe all day. Lunch at a local restaurant was absolutely incredible (it was truly some of the best food we had on our entire trip). They also went above and beyond by helping us buy an extra suitcase for our souvenirs and wine. It was perfect!

We have been enthusiastic users of Tours by Locals for many years and have never been disappointed. That records remains unbroken. Our tour with Leoncio was one of the most memorable that we have ever had. Leonicio and his driver, JP, were kind, considerate, knowledgeable, professional and engaging. The drive to San Jose Volcano was stunning and the picnic lunch along a raging stream was wonderful. We could not have had a more fun time exploring this part of the imposing Andes. Beautiful scenery—very enjoyable way to spend the day. Leo met us at our airport hotel, loaded our bags into his van, and we were off for the day. He was very informative about many topics, including history, politics, and culture. Tomas, our driver, stayed with the van when we left with Leo, so it was always safe. Dropped us off at our Airbnb in the city. Tasted some very nice wines with the provided charcuterie lunch!
