Valparaiso, World Heritage is a very unique, impressive and scenic port city, overlooking to Pacific Ocean from most of its colourful houses and and magic neighbourhoods, where its cosmopolitan citizens and artists provide this port with a very special character and charm, which for sure will make you fall in love with it. Close to Valparaiso, is Viña del Mar; Chile's newest and most popular summer resort city, known as "La Ciudad Jardín", due to its colourful and wonderful gardens blooming all year round. It's Chile's most popular central summer resort city, with its modern architecture, lovely gardens and beautiful beaches; make this a very attractive city to visit and relax on your holidays. Chile's one of the three most important export products is wine. Chilean wine well-known all around the world, due to its special bouquets, gentle and smooth flavours and a specific skill : no "Philoxera" disease all around chilean vineyards, make of chilean wine an outstanding icon product.

Victor provided friendly, knowledgeable, flexible service to our group of four. We would have appreciated one or two stops in Viña del Mar; however, once we communicated our wish to stop more often, he did! He provided water , a friendly café with great views for us to overlook the city, and very good, just the right amount, of narration. As we had extra time, he was amenable to stopping at a winery on the way back to the ship for a wine tasting. We would definitely recommend him as a tour guide. His knowledge of English is impeccable. He has been leading tours for close to 40 years.

What a wonderful, informative gentleman! Victor Hugo came early to pick us up from Santiago to drive us for a scenic tour to Valparaiso. He informed us about the geography, the agriculture, the mixture of cultures, the Chilean politics both past and present, and the historical development of Valparaiso. Victor was very personable so we invited him for lunch at a beautiful restaurant which he recommended overlooking the harbour. He gave us a chance to do short walking tours of the murals and art galleries and also a very pleasant walk on the beach with waves crossing on the shore just outside of Valparaiso. We took his card so that we could recommend him to friends who are planning to do a similar trip.
