I was born in Barcelona, and lived in Valencia Spain for my first years . My dad was a true englishman and mother from Chile, which makes me a eclectic mut ! As a child lived first in Honduras, but by the age of 7 was in the UK for the next six years , first in Islington London and then Hastings, east Sussex (boarding school ), that's where I got a distinct fluent english , which makes me easily understood and sets me apart from most of my piers with heavy south american accents. . Finally Argentinal would be my last stop , finishing secundary school years in a english boarding school , near the city of Cordoba, La Cumbre, saint Paul's school. In 1990 my parents decided to settle in Santiago de Chile , maybe the recovery of democracy helped in this crucial decision. After studying hotel administration in Santiago I became a flight attendant for then Lan Chile , for almost four years. I was then introduced into receptive tourism by a friend who knew well the industry , I knew from getgo, it was going to be my bag. I enjoy showing the diversity of my country , with rich culture, history and traditions, and also appreciate meeting different walks of life. Like wine , I believe in doing things with passion and dedication, including detailed customized tours , restaurant or vineard reservations, , in high season and many other small but crucial details that in the end, make a unforgetable and memorable experience. With more than 25 years in the trade, I feel confident providing quality time, making sure to meet clients needs and avoiding when possible tourist traps. Hotel and restaurant administration, at CET, Centro de estudios turisticos. First aid course. Pre -columbian cultures course, at pre-columbian museum. Professional driver's license . 23 years experience as a tour guide in central Chile for companies like Travel Art, South American Tours , DMC (destination management chile) , which caters cruises , or Upscape , among others. Flight attendant for then Lan Chile for almost four years, flying from Santiago to New York, Miami, L.A. or Madrid and most south american capitals , incuding Easter Island in the middle of the Pacific. No restrictions.

Passing through a fruit valley called curacavi, with its abundance in Mediterranean fruits like avocados, almonds or peach is pleasant but Casablanca, with its famous variety of white grapes like chardonnay or sauvignon blanc and in reds l pinot noir is a must, especially for those wine lovers. Valparaiso is a port with character, 43 hills creating an amphitheater shape with winding narrow cobbled streets. In 2003 it was declared human heritage site by UNESCO, and many buildings are brightly repainted in pastel colours. It has unique interesting features like funiculars or little elevators and antique American made trolley buses that still work on electric lines. I suggest doing a mural and graffiti walk on Conception and Alegre hills, which I master pretty well, after over 19 years of discovering hidden alleys. Valpo is also a good opportunity to try some delicious seafood or fish, there are restaurants overlooking the bay. For a great finale a glimpse of nearby seaside resort, Viña.
Drive in the morning west, towards Valparaiso port, crossing first Curacavi fruit valley and then Casablanca white wine valley. Once at the port, park the car in the Plaza Sotomayor, where the Chilean navy headquarter building is. Here we can do an interesting mural and graffiti walk taking one of the old funiculars called: "el Peral". Then lunch at a seafood restaurant overlooking the bay. After lunch, a short twenty-minute drive north and we see the sharp contrast of Viña del Mar, the most famous Chilean seaside resort city, also known as the garden city. Back in Santiago.
