I was born, raised and educated in Santiago. Studied and graduated at University of Chile in 1991 as a Former State English Tecaher as second language. Chilean horses are a mixture of Arab and Spanish origin horses, very skilful for ridding up through mountains and also very friendly and easy to ride with. This tour we will ride horses through the starting section of the Andes Mountains, a very scenic and impressive section of them here; characterized by soft slopes and hills nearby Santiago eastern suburb; we go through very relaxing landscape all the way up, and many varieties of native trees, different kinds of birds and wildlife in general.
The relaxation and thrill of riding beautifully behaved horses with amazing Andes views will remain with me forever. Victor was a very personable guide and we learnt much about life in Chile. The experience of seeing life outside the city center makes we want to return. Highly recommended for those wanting something a little extra to the normal tourist highlights.
Victor was an excellent leader for our Horseback Riding the Andes.He picked us up at our hotel and then dropped us back off there. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch that was DELICIOUS.He was very informative about Santiago as we drove thru the city to get to the horses.He was very friendly and seemed to always have a smile on his face.He loves to work in his "office" on the countryside of the Andes. I highly recommend him and his tour to anyone who is considering it.
What an amazing guide. Victor was perfect .. and our day with him was just what we needed for our final experience after visiting Antarctica, Buenos Aires and Easter Island.
Victor showed me and my husband an incredible ride up into the mountains. The views were gorgeous and the ride was fantastic. Not the nose to tail trail rides you normally get. Victor manned my iPhone and got some great shots of us riding. We took a break during ride and Victor provided us water and fresh walnuts. If I get back to Santiago I want Victor as my riding guide. He is personable, friendly and knowledgeable of the mountains and Santiago. I highly recommend Victor. His English is excellent.
Victor is an amazing tour guide. I love using tours when I travel so I can learn about the area and take in as much local culture as possible. Having been in 25 countries so far, Victor is my favorite! Victor was very well spoken and informative and an all around joy to be with. His English speaking skills are amazing and he has a very diverse knowledge of his country. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had a great day. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. 5 stars!
Spent a wonderful morning with Victor riding in the foothills. Horses were well cared for and in good condition.The ride was great. Victor is both knowledgeable and personable. His English skills are very good. We all had fun and recommend this tour highly.
- We begin preferently in the morning , driving up to Santiago east suburb, where we will meet our horses and we will start our journey through this wonderful area of Santiago city and Andes mountains. - We'll ride horses through a "riachuelo" (a little water channel), looking for our path towards the native trees and higher mountains, with spectacular views in our journey to "La Planicie de las Lunadas". - At Las Lunadas we not only will enjoy a spectacular view of the Andes Mountains and the hole landscape around us, but also we will take a rest, drink refreshments and let our horses rest. -Then we'll go on riding the horses down the mountains and we'll finish our riding where we started. - Finally I'll drive you back to your hotel or any other place within Santiago city either for lunch or an extension of your day tour. - End of this tour at your hotel. . The itinerary can be customized according to your preferences and interests.
