After working as a mechanic technician at the airpot, I decide to work in tourism, because I realy enjoy to talk with people from another countries and cultures. What I do is to let them know the wounderful land that we have, in terms of knowledge teaching them about history, archeology, flora, fauna and architecture. My satisfaction is to provide my knowledge to the tourists that want to visit Chile. I also work for the US Embassy in Santiago to whom I provide transportation support as a bilingual driver-guide. As Chile is a wine producing country I manage a vast knowledge about different wine valleys, wineries and also the whole process of making one of the best wines of the world. I have been travelling through my country for many years, so I know the needs of de people. We enjoyed the Santiago tour, and they took us to a great seafood restaurant for lunch that we would never find on our own. The afternoon winery visit was perfect. Exceptional day with our guide Leo. Having never visited Santiago before, we were looking for a good overview of the city and its character and Leo provided that and so much more! We had such a great visit with Leoncio. He's funny, knowledgable, flexible, and plays fun music in his car! ;-) Our visit to Santiago was great because of him. Due to a last minute cancelation of another tour guide, Leo was able to help us out and take us to Valparaiso too, which was an added bonus to our trip. He also arranged for a wine tasting at a nearby winery, and we are now hooked on Carmenere! I'd recommend him to anyone, and will use him again when I return to Chile. Gracias Leo!
