This personal, customizable tour covers the location of Adolf Hitler's former mountain home and Eagle's Nest retreat, plus the Nazi bunkers around Berchtesgaden, and the town of Berchtesgaden itself. Enjoy lunch in one of the typical Bavarian restaurants, after that either visit the 500-year-old Berchtesgaden salt mine or take a boat ride to St Bartholomew's Church on Lake Königssee, a stunning glacial lake that occupies a vast, peak-framed valley. - Begin your morning with panoramic views across the Alps from Hitler's historic mountain retreat, known as the Eagle's Nest, it takes around 45 to one hour, depending on the traffic. . - Descending from the Obersalzberg, on the way to the town of Berchtesgaden, we will also show you the underground bunker complexes (closed on Tuesday), and the location where Adolf Hitler had his house the Berghof. Then visit the town of Berchtesgaden with your Guide and have time to purchase lunch in one of the typical Bavarian restaurants (own expense). - In the afternoon you can choose between exploring the underground world of a 500 year old salt mine or taking a boat ride to St Bartholomew's on the Königsee, a glacial lake situated in a valley surrounded by the Bavarian Alps.
