People say it is hard to find an "original" Salzburger in Salzburg! :) However, I was born into a Salzburg family and raised here. So, you can call me an original Salzburger! After having studied languages and art history in Innsbruck, Vienna and Milan (Italy), and after having seen several corners in all over the world, I decided deliberately to come back to my hometown . For me, Salzburg is simply THE perfect place to live. Because it is a charming and interesting city, offering an outstanding and rich cultural program, charming cafés and restaurants, a specific "Mediterranean" life-style, a joyful atmosphere and a fascinating mix of tradition and modernity. In addition, you find the most picturesque and breath-taking landscape in the surroundings, with emerald-green lakes embedded between often snow-covered Alpine mountains. So, there is nothing better than enjoying life here! In winter, I am fond of making ski tours, and in summer, I love to attend the famous Salzburg Music Festival, but also riding my bicycle, sailing, swimming, playing tennis, and drinking a nice glass of wine on the banks of Lake Mondsee, my second home, in the famous Salzkammergut Region. By the way, Mondsee hosts the wedding church of the famous movie Sound of Music. You can call me a lucky person, because I have the chance to combine my passion with my profession. It really makes me happy to meet people from all over the world and to show them my favourite places. Many of them are, by the way, world famous. But, there are still some charming hidden corners left… Come and be my guest! Together we will explore Salzburg and its magnificent surroundings. Sissy was such a great guide. This was a Sound of Music tour and we covered so many places where scenes were filmed, plus learned a ton about "the rest of the story" about how it was filmed. In addition to the Sound of Music, we learned about Salzburg and Mozart. Great Day, great guide.
This guided walking tour of Salzburg was an absolute delight from start to finish. Sissy was knowledgeable, engaging, and seamlessly blended Sound of Music highlights with the city’s rich culture and general history. The pace was thoughtful, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and ask questions. We explored both iconic landmarks and charming hidden corners that we never would have found on our own. I left with a deeper appreciation for Salzburg and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

This tour of Salzburg was amazing. We learned so much about the history and culture of the city. Added bonus was visiting all of the various sites around the city where they filmed scenes from The Sound of Music. Sissy knew everything about the movie, even showing us behind the scenes photos and adding in some information about the actors, where they stayed in the city during filming, and just a bunch of really great details. This was a really great way to see Salzburg, and we went back and revisited several of the locations to take it all in again. Would highly recommend Sissy as a guide and this tour in particular.
Sissy is the absolute best. She he your combined facts about the filming of the movie with Salzburg’s history. Through some less than cooperative weather, Sissy made the entire thing wonderfully fun. Best tour we’ve done on this trip.
If I could give her 10 stats, I would!! Sissy was amazing! A local with tons of local knowledge and extremely well versed in the history of Mozart and the history of Salzburg. As a bonus, lots of Sound of Music tidbits too!! We did a 4 hour walking tour and enjoyed every minute. She was very clear on the meeting instructions and very easy to contact. If you can book Sissy for a walking tour of Salzburg you won't regret it!!
