Marta provided a wonderful guided tour of Prado highlights. Having a knowledgeable guide helped us from being overwhelmed by the many rooms and paintings in the Prado. Marta’s descriptions and explanations were clear and we enjoyed our visit, focusing on early period European masterpieces.

You can’t find a more wonderful person to show you around Madrid than Marta! Our tour of the old town and then the Prado Museum was a highlight of our visit. Marta knows history, art, and culture well and weaves her knowledge into interesting stories that make Madrid come alive. We didn’t just see art at the Prado, we experienced it as she helped us understand the artists behind the works and the response to the art in its time. She was also both professional and warmly personal. She helped us in advance of our visit and responded to all our needs in the moment. Best of all we enjoyed spending time with her and found ourselves loving Madrid more because of her.

My wife and I truly enjoyed walking through the Prado Museum with Marta. She is so knowledgeable about both the history behind the art (and that is reflected in the composition of the art) and the specific details of the many and glorious paintings we saw. For example, we would stop in front of a painting by El Greco, and she would tell us when the work was executed and how critics have interpreted it over the years. Then we would engage in some conversation, and she would answer our questions. I can’t imagine having a better guide for a visit to the Prado than Marta.

Marta was amazing, flexible, very knowledgeable and very personable with a lot of positive energy. We highly recommend her.

Marta gave us a wonderful tour of the Prado this afternoon. We wanted an infomative visit through the highlights of the Prado and Marta delivered! She showed us the best of one of Europe's most important art collections. Her knowledge of art history and art techniques was prodigious. She explained why the paintings we looked at was important and deserved its place in art history.
