I grew up both in Reykjavik and on the country side. At the farm (we bred sheep and riding horses) I learned to appreciate the nature. Still, today, when I feel stressed out, I go out hiking. Nature has a way of calming the mind and show you what really matters. I have spent most of my adult years in Reykjavik and I love the way it can be both a small village and a vibrant city at the same time.
I try to combine the best of those two worlds and I am lucky because in just a half an hour drive from Reykjavik you can be out in beautiful nature if you know where to go. If you like the remote, unspoiled nature of the volcanoes, I would love to show you some of my favorite secret places.
I have done many different things in my life. I am an actor, I have an MSc in Applied Economics, I have been active in nature preservation campaigns in Iceland and I also participated in Icelandic politics for a while. I am also a member of Search and Rescue volunteers team in Iceland, a good way both to learn how to cope with nature and to give back to the society.
I am passionate about my island, I respect the history of the people living here since and I love to share both the heritage and the scenery of nature with small groups of people. I like to think of me as a host rather than a guide and my customers as my guests. Coming on a tour with me should be like visiting an old friend in Iceland that takes you out to show you around.
I look forward to showing you my country and tell you a bit about the people, the folklore, trolls, elves and outlaws. :)
