South Coast Iceland

Bjorn was fabulous in every way! Our group all felt that without him, the trip would not have been the same. We would highly recommend him to anyone interested in visiting Iceland!

This was out third tour with Bjorn, which says something about him. His tours are entirely based on what you want to do. He offers suggestions but you determine the schedule and destinations. His English is flawless which compliments his sense of humor. He knows Iceland inside and out. Transportation is comfortable. No one better.

We loved our tour with Bjorn. He was very knowledgeable about the south coast and open to making stops along the route. We are birders and though he doesn't advertise as a birding guide, we found that he knows a lot about the birds in the area. We made several unplanned stops along the way to get a look at birds that are new to us. And we got the absolute best look at Atlantic Puffins! We had an all day tour, so Bjorn suggested we pick up food at a grocery and eat along the way. That was perfect for us as it gave us more time to....look for birds! If eating lunch at a restaurant is more your style, I'm sure Bjorn knows the best places, but grabbing a quick sandwich was our choice and we were very happy about it. And while we were finishing up our sandwiches sitting in the vehicle we spotted whales breaching, wow, that was amazing! His vehicle was clean and comfy. It accommodated a 6'3" passenger no problem. If we are ever back in the area I would definitely book Bjorn for another outing.

Bjorn took me on a great adventure along the south coast, stopping at several waterfalls along the way, volcano Eyjafjallajokull, glaciers atop volcanoes, and black beaches with basalt cliffs and towers. As I have mobility issues, Bjorn drove me up as close as possible to each site. He also kindly stopped at a drive thru drugstore to pick up pain medication for me. Lunch was at a lovely brewpub in Vik where we also stopped at a shopping complex where my gift shopping were satisfied. Throughout the trip I heard stories of trolls and the 12 Santa Clauses, lots of info on Icelandic horses, and an explanation of last names in Iceland. Bjorn has been a guide for a while and his knowledge is extensive. It was a most enjoyable day. I would highly recommend Bjorn.

Excellent day. Bjorn is friendly, very knowledgeable with a gift for explaining his country and answering any question. He suggested a variance from our itinerary that worked out perfectly as the weather turned. We will engage Bjorn again.
