We enlisted Sergei for two tours over two days, this one and the Circle tour. Both were exceptional. Sergei was great. He was knowledgeable and able to clearly answer our endless questions. As he said, “this was not his first rodeo.” Our weather on this tour was gusty and rainy, but Sergei was able to organize stops along the way to make the best of it. The tours were different enough that we felt we had a most successful introduction to Iceland, its history, geology, and its lifestyle. We highly recommend Sergei as a guide and both tours.

The tour was amazing! Sergei is a great guide. It was a rainy day and we were still able to see all of the waterfalls and sights. Sergei shared his knowledge of the history and the geography of the area. He was very concerned about our safety and helping us to maneuver on the wet paths. He has a great sense of humor. The vehicle was clean, luxurious and really comfortable to ride in. I highly recommend this tour with Sergei as your guide - you won't be sorry. My only recommendation is if there's any chance of rain - bring rain pants!

We’ve traveled a good bit and with a number of tour guides, and Sergei was one of the best! He was so knowledgeable and pleasant - we saw all the sights as described in the tour information, which was quite a lot, but we never felt rushed. Sergei was an absolute wealth of information and answered all our questions. And he provided so many extra courtesies - took some great photos of us, asked whether or not we wanted to do some of the more strenuous climbs, made rest stops any time they were needed. And with all we did and saw each day, we always started and ended the tour within the allotted time. Sergei definitely made our trip to Iceland just as we imagined/hoped it would be! He’s just the best!

Your Reykjavik tour itinerary
My suggested itinerary can also be tailored to your interests; please let me know if you would like to change it or add any activities. Places to visit: • Seljalandsfoss and Gljufrabui waterfalls. This is an hour-long stop. Explore Seljalandsfoss and walk around. Then, walk along the cliff path to find Gljufrabui waterfall cascading into a gorge. • Skogafoss waterfall. This is an hour-long stop. You can get up close to the waterfall and follow the path to the viewing platform to see it from above. • Bistro Bar in Skogar. This is an hour-long stop for lunch. • Dyrholaey South Cape. This is a 30-min stop. Explore the area from the cliff top, walk the path around the lighthouse, and find the arch. • Reynisfjara Beach. This is a 40-min stop. Walk along the black sand beach and explore the vertical basalt columns. • Solheimajökull Glacier. This is a 30-min to 1-hour stop. We will follow a trail to get closer to the glacier and enjoy a close-up view of the ice blocks descending into the lagoon.
