Hunt for the Northern lights in one of the best locations on earth with one of the most experienced guide in Iceland! Watch the glimmering lights move across the sky at the speed of light in green, blue and even red colors. Please ask if there's more than 4 in your group. I can do tours for up to 70 persons when requested. The Northern lights are a natural phenomenon which usually form 100-200 km above ground. It is dark enough from mid September to mid April to see them. However, it is not possible to see them when it is cloudy or when the solar activity is low. The starting time of this tour depends on the time of the year and the time it starts getting dark at night. Please ask.
Our Northern Lights hunt with Stefan was amazing. He is a true Northern Lights hunter, incredibly well equipped with real-time information and forecasts, which was truly impressive. The whole process of tracking and chasing the auroras was exciting in itself, and it made the experience even more special. On top of that, we ended the night with beautiful photos and unforgettable memories. What more could you possibly wish for? Highly recommended!
We had an amazing Northern Lights tour in Reykjavik with Stefan. He was very caring and helpful from the beginning, even two months before the tour. He gave us good advice on where to stay and the best time to go hunting for the Northern Lights. On the tour day, Stefan picked us up right on time, actually a bit earlier, which we really appreciated. He kept driving us to different spots far outside the city to increase our chances, and his effort really showed. He was also very enthusiastic about taking photos for us, and the pictures turned out beautiful. During the drive, Stefan shared many interesting facts about Iceland. One of my favorite moments was on the way back, when we listened to music from Icelandic and Vietnamese artists together. It felt like a small cultural exchange and made the trip even more special. Highly recommend booking a tour with Stefan.
Stefan was a delight to work with. He always responded quickly and was a few minutes early for our pick up. He is very knowledgeable and took a group photo of us all. i highly recommend Stefan's Northern Lights tour.
Sergei was an amazing guide. We had a blizzard during our stay, and he was able to get us reorganized so that we were able to see alternative places when our original destination was closed. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
My family was extremely fortunate to have Stefan as our private tour guide to discover the northern lights. One of the main goals was to see and photograph aurora. We hired Stefan based on his profile and experience, but would choose him again not only for northern lights tours, but for ANY type of tour in Iceland. He is very knowledgeable, interesting and accommodating. Stefan was in steady communication leading up to our departure to ensure that the conditions were favorable for viewing the lights. Stefan knew where to drive to increase our chances. Stefan carried on, even past our scheduled time, until the clouds parted and the sky produced a window to see the northern lights. He gave us the perfect instructions for how to maximize and capture photos and shared some of his own the next day. Without Stefán, we would have returned home without a single viewing.
My husband and 13yr old son took a last minute 4 day trip to Iceland and booked a Northern Lights tour with Stefan for the first night they arrived. Communication with Stefan was excellent even before they departed from the US. My husband had scheduled a 7:30pm pick up from the hotel for the tour, which Stefan recommended they change to 8:30pm to best see the light activity. He drove them to 3 different places and they saw the most spectacular Northern Lights display at each location. As well as taking their own pictures, Stefan also took photos with his professional camera which he then emailed to us. Overall a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend Stefan as a guide to anyone visiting Iceland.
