The Golden Circle is an absolute must when in the South of Iceland. The route takes us to the famous "original" Geysir all other geysirs take their name from. Although it is technically active, it has not erupted since 2016. However, it's neighbouring geysir, Strokkur, is putting up a show every 10 minutes. Gullfoss waterfall is one of Iceland's most iconic waterfalls placed in the Hvítá river and close to Geysir. On our way to Geysir, we stop at Þingvellir, where the first national parliament in the world was established in 930. The Viking Age Congress is placed in scenic surroundings on the Atlantic Ocean ridge between the American tectonic plate and the Eurasian plate. We will have lunch, either at the Tomato farm, Friðheimar, or at a local farm. If weather and time allows we'll add some stops, such as at crater Kerið, or the Secret Lagoon before the drive back to Reykjavik
