Welcome to My Budapest! Budapest isn’t just a city I guide, it’s my home. I’m Andrea, a local, independent private guide, born and raised in this beautiful city. For nearly 30 years, I’ve been helping visitors discover the very best of Hungary. Along the way, I’ve worked with top hotels, business travelers, families, independent explorers, and government delegations, guiding Presidents, Prime Ministers, and diplomats in cooperation with the Hungarian State Department. I don’t believe in rushed sightseeing or scripted tours. I believe in stories, connections, and moments that stay with you long after you’ve returned home. Having lived abroad and studied in the United States at the University of Maryland, my approach blends deep local roots with an international understanding of what travelers truly value. Whether I’m guiding families, first-time visitors, or high-profile international guests, I share Jewish history and heritage with sensitivity, respect, and heart, creating experiences that are personal, thoughtful, and deeply meaningful. Every tour I create is tailored to you, your interests, your pace, and your curiosity. With the comfort of a private luxury Mercedes vehicle and the freedom to adapt along the way, you can simply relax and experience Budapest as it’s meant to be felt. If you’d like to discover Budapest, Hungary, with someone who truly cares, I’d love to welcome you. Let’s turn your visit into a lasting memory. How do you find the perfect synagogue in Budapest ? Where is the best deli in the Jewish neighborhood? Where do you search for historical records for ancestors in Hungary? Where do the Jews live in Buda or Pest? There's a wide variety of Jewish resources in Budapest and I'm here to break it down for you. I am proud to share my interest in the culture and history of Budapest with visitors who want to learn more about the architectural treasures of the Jewish Quarter. My passion for Jewish history, art, music, the cuisine is reflected in my tours. I love sharing the special and diverse character of the Jewish Quarter with all the different age groups that join my tours, from young school kids and teenagers to older adults. This tour is available for large and private groups as well as for families and can be customized according to your interests. Please request for price quotation.
Take a walk to the "Jewish triangle of Pest" where there is together- in one place- the 150 years of Hungarian Jewish history. This part of Pest still has a special atmosphere, and this ambiance recalls the life of the tragically decimated Jewry and its significant cultural and economic role in Hungarian society. There are three large synagogues that are the geographical and spiritual cornerstones of the quarter. - Visit the magnificent Dohany Street Synagogue, the Jewish Museum, take pictures at the Jewish Cemetery and of the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park. - Stop at the cozy Cafe Noe and enjoy a traditional Jewish cake - Flodni. Stop at the iconic ruin pub: Szimple Kert. - Walk by beautiful late Art Nouveau & Neo-Classical residential houses, see long arcades, and romantic courtyards. We can customize the tour even when we meet, I am very flexible.
