Lights and the city of Budapest

We loved Dora, she was a pleasure to work with. We arrived in Budapest on St Stephen’s Day, Dora went out of her way to share information about that day of festivals with us. She suggested moving our tour to a different day so that we could enjoy it more. Her knowledge and enthusiasm is wonderful!

Dóra was absolutely outstanding! She was warm, personable, and as a native of Budapest she is incredibly knowledgeable, which made Budapest come alive through her stories and historical insights. She tailored the tour to our interests, moved at a comfortable pace, and ensured we experienced both the iconic landmarks and hidden gems of the city. We did her specific tour, but she kindly added the shoe memorial at our request, which made the experience even more meaningful. Her enthusiasm and passion for Budapest were evident throughout the evening, making this one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend Dóra to anyone looking for an informative, engaging, and unforgettable tour.

We had a lovely evening watching the sunset from the Buda hills and then traveling to other sites with marvelous panoramic views of the city. So many of the beautiful buildings are lit up at night, it is magical and less crowded than during the day. Dora coordinated the tour well and shared information on each site. We particularly enjoyed seeing some of her favorite spots—not necessarily “typical” sites, but little nooks with fascinating background, or a special photo op. She was a fun and enthusiastic guide. I would recommend you coordinate on timing to make sure you catch the sunset, but not too early. The magic happens when it’s dark.

Dora was fun and very organized. She spoke good English and taught us a lot about Budapest.

Our group can not say enough good things about our tour with Dora! This was such a great experience , her enthusiasm for the city is contagious and she was genuinely interested in hearing about our group as well. Dora and our driver Barbie did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our tour. Highly highly recommend!

Dora S. and her friendly driver provided my wife and me with a wonderful nighttime tour which focused on the illuminated landmarks of Budapest. The city is, indeed, beautiful at night. The crowds had receded and we took great photos. Dora is warm, engaging, enthusiastic, and fun to be with. She is also very knowledgeable about the various sites and Hungarian history in general. She communicates well. She patiently and skillfully identified every statue in Heroes Square for us. We had a great time. We recommend Dora S. very highly and with no reservation.
