Excuse me, do you know maybe where are the most amazing and interesting sights in Hungary? No? Then you are at the right spot, to find them with me! Hello there traveller and my future friend! My name is Petra, like the city in Jordan. I'm an experienced tour guide since 2015 and also licensed tour guide in the largest European Synagogue. I speak fluent English and in any case of necessity my Spanish can help me to survive and of course, I'm a native speaker of the fourth most difficult language in the world; Hungarian. I'm energetic, enthusiastic, a history nerd and I love to talk. I was also thinking about opening a private class of dad jokes, they are my favorite, the worse the better, and like every Hungarian, I speak the second official language of this country: sarcasm. I love challenges, my main profile is customized tours when my guests want to explore more in Budapest beside the main attractions. I'm also a big fan of legends and myths, and it would be great to share all the stories with you! In my opinion, the main specialty of my city, Budapest is, it's on the edge of modern and classic. I love to walk around and see the 19th century with all of its beauty and style then only two more steps to be shocked by the "neo-ugly" communist architecture. Join to one of my tours and let's laugh, eat (or drink) and learn our way together through Hungary and Budapest! Licensed Hungarian tour guide Licensed tour guide in Dohány Street Synagogue Licensed tour guide in Rumbach street Synagogue Bachelor of Hungarian Literature I do not have a license to give tours inside the Hungarian Parliement or the Hungarian State Opera. I don't own driving license or car, but I can arrange for a car and driver.

Explore the cultural center of Budapest with me! If you're interested in history, street food, going out, or street art in Budapest, as I am, you can find it all in one place, in the Jewish Quarter. During our tour, I will show you the depths and riches of Jewish heritage in the city. Dwelving into Jewish history, I'll show you the hidden Jewish treasures of the neighborhood with 3 synagogues. Get acquainted with the hip side of the district to see how this area became both the amusement and the cultural center of the city in the past 15 years. We'll take a look at the murals, that make the Jewish Quarter a true open-air gallery; the kosher restaurants, and last but not least I'll invite you into the most authentic local ruin pubs and cultural centers which are the top meeting points for locals and party people. Please keep in mind, the synagogues we visit on the tour are functioning religious places. On Friday afternoon, the whole Saturday, and on Jewish high holidays, they are closed.
First, we will meet at your hotel or cruise dock. - The first synagogue we see is in Rumbach Street, the recently restored building awaits us with its breathtaking beauty and interesting history. - The second synagogue is no other, but the largest European one in Dohány Street. We visit the whole complex, included: - the Hungarian Jewish Museum - Raoul Wallenberg Memorial garden with - Tree of Life Monument. - Afterwards, we visit the posh Gozsdu Court with wonderful restaurants and party places. - The last synagogue of our triangle is the Kazinczy Street Orthodox Synagogue, a very special art nouveau treasure, optionally we can go inside the building too. - Next, we will be heading to explore the bohemian side of the Jewish Quarter with the interior visit of a famous, so-called ruin bar, the Szimpla Garden. - During the tour we explore the famous murals and underground street art of the area.
