Chicago abuts Lake Michigan and its lakefront has been beautifully built over many decades. We will explore some of its most iconic landmarks on this walking tour. Chicago’s leaders have been very protective of the lakefront, much to our benefit. You’ll notice that there is very little building development along the shore and that has allowed people to enjoy the beauty provided by nature. This tour is a great mix of both historical landmarks like Buckingham Fountain which opened in 1927 and newer additions like The Bean which debuted in 2006. As an extra perk to this tour, you'll get to enjoy classic Chicago-style deep dish pizza, either before or after the tour.
-We will start our tour at the Chicago Cultural Center, once Chicago’s main public library building -We will then walk over to explore the Cloud Gate Sculpture (aka The Bean) -Next we will reach the Pritzker Pavilion, home for many outdoor concerts -The Crown Fountain follows, always a crowd favorite on hot days -Afterwards, we will take a walk through both Millenium Park and Grant Park -We will end our tour at Buckingham Fountain
