I will make your time in Chicago a very special time to treasure. Born & raised in the City, I know that I can open doors to a one of a kind memorable experience. I am an Artist having traveled all over the U. S. doing Art Fairs & internationally as Artist for Club Med. I have an intimate vision & understanding of what visiting & touring a new place is all about. I was artist for the State of Illinois. Artist in residence for the development of the Museum Campus. I have a Master's in Historic Preservation from the Art Institute of Chicago. After 20 years, I recently retired from the City of Chicago as Director of Community Outreach. My intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the city allow me to offer a total immersive experience, not available on other tours. From wherever you come from, I will make you feel comfortable, safe and at home. I was artist for the State of Illinois for the turn of the Century I was Artist in Residence for the development of the Museum Campus I recently retired from the City of Chicago , after 20 years as Director of Community Outreach Worked closely with the mayor's wife, Maggie Daley on art projects for Youth throughout the city. I am considered a great raconteur & storyteller. Some tours will use transportation either Uber or I will get a car.

We will begin where Chicago's first Industrialists built their stately mansions & worshiped in a magnificent church filled with the finest Tiffany Stained glass! Home to Jazz and the recording studio that recorded the Best of the Blues. An area where Black Life & Culture thrived. An Avenue where the automobile was first showcased in jewel box showrooms! A city neighborhood of estates that tell the story of one of the most famous murders and the home of a president. A place where the richest man in the world gave the money to build a World Class University and was the area for a Great Exposition that heralded in the dawn of culture in the city. A home built by the architect whose work grew out of our prairie location &. a museum housing the premier collection of monumental objects from the dawn of mankind. Explaining and engaging your interests in this exotic and wondrous history of the beginnings of the very unique and one-of-a-kind areas where I was born & raised. I can't wait to show you my city!
- We can either take an UBER, or I can rent a car & will point out places of interest. - Stop at Prairie Ave, a block of mansions built by the first families of the city. The area has been restored with a park where the oldest home in the city sits in its center. - Visit a church built by the architect who built the Smithsonian Museum. - Point the direction of the Stock Yards were on a windy day the noxious smell would fill the air of even the rich. - Pass by an area called Bronzeville, the home of the Blacks of the great migration from the south & down the street that was the home of Jazz. - Arrive at the University of Chicago - Tour FLW Robie house - Investigate the Oriental Institute - Stop for lunch at the student union - Tour the gardens & campus -Drive through the site of the Columbian Exposition - We will take Lake Shore Drive back and along the way experiencing the best city view *If you have a specific itinerary in mind send me a message and I'll customize the tour for you
