I was born and raised on the westside of Chicago a bit over 50 years ago. I am the mother of three and the grandmother of five beautiful people. I enjoy outdoor activities with the grandkids, learning new things, Evangelizing , river boat cruises and traveling. Before I began conducting tours throughout the city, I worked many jobs not understanding why I was not happy , there was no fulfillment of joy. It wasn't until 2005 when my life changed. Understanding that I needed a job that fits my personality. Showcasing the city that I love, learning how much each of the 77 communities connects Chicago as a whole. The richness of this city has to be told. " The city of bright lights - The city of broad shoulders - The windy city ". Join me as I travel to "Bronzeville" one of the most famous black communities in the USA. This neighborhood was once compared to the Harlem renaissance. Each community has amazing food. Hop-on and Hop-off for homemade ice-cream and peach cobbler, Chicago style hotdogs, deep dish pizza and so much more. See you soon. I began training as a city tour guide in 2005. I have been conducting tours for 19 years. I am not able to give tours in any language other than English.

Chicago has always been a city with neighborhoods - neighborhoods of character, complexion, and color. Neighborhoods in Chicago evolved as the people came and left. The Bronzeville Community was the center of African American life and culture. During the time of the great migration, millions of African Americans fled the oppressive south, with thousands settling on the Southside of Chicago. Bronzeville became a vibrant community inhabited by musicians, cooks, politicians, artists, entrepreneurs, and so much more. The movie "Cadillac Records" was based on the recording studio (Chess Records) where "Muddy Waters, Etta James, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry" and the list goes on and on. These musicians gained there claim to fame right here in this amazing community. Come and go with me.
