Chicago has been my home for almost 40 years, and I’ve witnessed its transformation throughout that time. I’ve always been involved in the Tourism industry in this city, which welcomes visitors from around the world - whether for business or leisure, since it offers beauty in all four seasons year-round! As a guide, I find it very satisfying to share everything this city and the surrounding metropolitan area have to offer, whether with first-time or returning visitors; from its culture and history to its ethnic neighbourhoods and the majestic skyline architecture. For me, every tour is different, with something new to learn in each adventure, and it’s always a joy to experience them with those eager to discover something about Chicago. This city has also given me the opportunity to raise a family, with three boys who made sure to keep their dad busy and always on the lookout for something new to enjoy throughout the year.

On this tour, we're going to take a closer look at the modern and contemporaneous skyscrapers that sit along the Chicago River, with their different stylistic approach in order to compliment the natural setting of the river and Lake Michigan, an essential part in the establishment of one of the largest cities in the country. I will share stories about some of these constructions, contrasting buildings that are over a hundred years old with the most modern ones equipped with the latest in technology available so far. This tour will require to walk approximately at least 1.5 miles -2.41 kms-, so comfortable footwear is highly recommended, as well as a light jacket, depending on the weather. That being said, the river offers a vast area for a brief rest if so desired, in addition to many places for refreshments or snacks.
-I will pick you up at your lodging place or point of preference and take you to the merging point of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. -From there, we're going to walk along the river and make our way to the point where the river splits into two parts: the North and the South branches. -I will then show you the place where the Great Chicago Flood originated, which brought almost the entire area of downtown Chicago to a standstill. -Next, we will head back towards the lake, but this time at the street level, which will give us a different perspective. -At the end of the tour, I can take you back to your hotel if desired.
