I was born and raised on the westside of Chicago a bit over 50 years ago. I am the mother of three and the grandmother of five beautiful people. I enjoy outdoor activities with the grandkids, learning new things, Evangelizing , river boat cruises and traveling. Before I began conducting tours throughout the city, I worked many jobs not understanding why I was not happy , there was no fulfillment of joy. It wasn't until 2005 when my life changed. Understanding that I needed a job that fits my personality. Showcasing the city that I love, learning how much each of the 77 communities connects Chicago as a whole. The richness of this city has to be told. " The city of bright lights - The city of broad shoulders - The windy city ". Join me as I travel to "Bronzeville" one of the most famous black communities in the USA. This neighborhood was once compared to the Harlem renaissance. Each community has amazing food. Hop-on and Hop-off for homemade ice-cream and peach cobbler, Chicago style hotdogs, deep dish pizza and so much more. See you soon. I began training as a city tour guide in 2005. I have been conducting tours for 19 years. I am not able to give tours in any language other than English.

Chicago was incorporated as a town in 1833, and as a city in 1837. Chicago was founded by the very first Non-Native American to this land, a Black man by the name of (Jean Baptist Point du Sable) in the 1770's. As new settlers were discovering this land, Chicago grew into the second largest City in the USA. The city experienced one of the greatest setbacks in history, with the Chiago fire of 1871. Chicago quickly regained footage and became known as the "Sky scrapper capital of the world". With diverse cultures of groups moving to the city, Chicago has become a melting pot of flavors, food, artistry, festivals, music, and so much more. Did you know that we do not put ketchup on our hotdogs? The answer to this statement and more will be answered on your tour. I look forward to seeing you soon.
