Hello! I can't wait to share my deep love of Chicago with you. An actor, photographer, and history buff who has called Chicago home all of my adult life, I revel in sharing stories about the Windy City -- and about the people who built it, made it their home, and left an indelible mark on it. Chicago has it all: a stunning skyline, an incredible shoreline, a vibrant art scene, a bustling theater and film community, and restaurants celebrating food from all corners of the world. Chicagoans love sports, too! Chicago is home to 77 (soon to 78) communities, all with distinct personalities and traits. We can't possibly visit them all at once, but I can certainly entice you so you come back and explore some more! Join me in the "city of big shoulders" for a visit filled with history, anecdotes, and beauty. All my tours can be customized upon request. While you see more than a dozen "set" tours -- also customizable -- , I have developed more than 70 entirely personalized tours for various individuals, couples, or groups, small and large. Just let me know what you are looking for, and I'll create a tour for you!

Chicago is a city of many layers - above and underground. One way to see our beautiful downtown is by taking the Pedway, a five-mile network of pathways that links more than 50 buildings. On this tour, you will travel down a portion of the Pedway, and will come up to the surface to see some of our most stunning landmarks. Depending on your preferences, the buildings we will see include City Hall, Block 37, Macy's, the original Jewelers' Building and Jewelers Row, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Pittfield Building, Harris Theater, Aon Center, and more. The tour will include a history of the Pedway but also of all the buildings we will see on the way. We will reminisce about individuals who changed the city, including Montgomery Ward, who fought to save Grant Park. We will end the tour at the Aqua Building -- unless you pick a different destination, which I am happy to accommodate. This tour can be done in all weather (especially bad weather) Monday through Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
If the weather is clear, we'll start in front of the First Methodist Church at 77 W Washington. If the weather is inclement, we'll meet straight away at City Hall (121 N LaSalle.) Once inside City Hall, we'll take the Pedway to: - Block 37 (we'll briefly exit to go to Ira Couch Alley and discuss the Iroquois Theater Fire) - Back in the Pedway, we'll make our way to Macy's and exit to walk briefly to Jewelers Row on Wabash, where we'll marvel at the oldest Louis Sullivan building - We'll continue to the Pittfield Building and its incredible interior courtyard, then make our way to the Chicago Cultural Center, where we'll admire the outdoor Rush More mural - Time permitting, we'll take the opportunity to talk about the Cultural Mile - We'll return to the Pedway and travel to Millennium Park (Pritzker Pavilion and Harris Theater stops) - We'll end our trip going from the Aon Center to the Aqua Building, with its undulating balconies designed by Jeanne Gang Ending at the Swiss Hotel is also an option.
