I am an enthusiastic guide to the beautiful, fun, architecturally and historically significant city of Chicago. I love sharing my favorite City and meeting visitors. Finding out why you are visiting, seeing all that is unique about Chicago through your eyes makes this a great experience for me, too! I especially enjoy tailoring tours to your interests. Chicago is easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. Spend a few hours learning how the City grew. We begin in the loop - "ground zero" is the corner of State and Madison where the easy grid system begins. The history of Chicago is reviewed while we walk and tour several buildings. From there we take the El (elevated train) out to view several neighborhoods. Another walking tour to Lincoln Park and a bus ride back down Michigan will help provide excellent tools to make the best of the rest of your time in Chicago.
Nancy's tour was very informative and with her local knowledge she was able to get us to vantage points a non-local would not otherwise know about. She gave us several options and was able to tailor the tour to our interests and provided a nice history of Chicago.
What an excellent tour. Nancy's 4 hour tour was just what we wanted to see some of the key areas of the city. She was, of course, extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves Chicago - who wouldn't. What a great place to visit and having been shown the ropes by Nancy my wife and I were able to strike out on own with confidence. This tour is wholeheartedly recommended.
Nancy is very passionate and knowledgeable about Chicago, and the walking tour that we did with her was a highlight of our weekend. She is a very pleasant and enthusiastic person, and she has all kinds of interesting information and insights into the city. Chicago's loop has many icons to be seen, such as State Street. The history of Chicago is revealed as we walk and tour several buildings. From there we take the El (elevated train)to view several neighborhoods. Another walking tour to Lincoln Park and the free zoo there. The bus ride back down iconic shopping mecca Michigan Ave. This tour provides excellent tools to make the best of the rest of your time in Chicago.
