Hello! I can't wait to share my deep love of Chicago with you. An actor, photographer, and history buff who has called Chicago home all of my adult life, I revel in sharing stories about the Windy City -- and about the people who built it, made it their home, and left an indelible mark on it. Chicago has it all: a stunning skyline, an incredible shoreline, a vibrant art scene, a bustling theater and film community, and restaurants celebrating food from all corners of the world. Chicagoans love sports, too! Chicago is home to 77 (soon to 78) communities, all with distinct personalities and traits. We can't possibly visit them all at once, but I can certainly entice you so you come back and explore some more! Join me in the "city of big shoulders" for a visit filled with history, anecdotes, and beauty. All my tours can be customized upon request. While you see more than a dozen "set" tours -- also customizable -- , I have developed more than 70 entirely personalized tours for various individuals, couples, or groups, small and large. Chicago: The city that Works. The City of Big Shoulders. No matter what you call it, it's a vibrant metropolis of 77 communities and I can't wait to introduce it to you! On this tour, we will have a car and driver take us around to see some of the most iconic places in the city, from our ever-growing skyline of stunning buildings, to our 26-mile lakefront where parks, beaches, and trails will transport you to another world. And we won't forget our world-renowned universities. We'll drive down the Mag Mile to the oldest spot in the city and travel to a few neighborhoods so you can experience our diversity. I will tell you about the great Chicago fire and how it reshaped the Windy City. About our pride in architectural firsts, and the depth of our culinary offerings, brought to us by wave after wave of immigrants from all over. We'll occasionally get out for photo ops and snacks, of course, and to stretch our legs. And since this is YOUR tour, we'll work together to personalize it before you book it.
Sylvie was an absolutely incredible guide! Her knowledge of Chicago is so deep, and she showed us hidden secrets we never would have found on our own. She truly helped us fall in love with the city. This was our anniversary trip, and Sylvie went above and beyond to make it feel extra special. Highly recommend booking with her!

We will definitely be booking Sylvie again! Her knowledge of the city was amazing and gave us alot of ideas for how to spend our time in Chicago on our next visit. She made the day fun, easy and enjoyable. My only regret is that we didn't book it on our first day! Our family opted for the south tour but Sylvie is great at making the tour specific to your interests.
Sylvie personalized our tour and had a plan but was excited to customize it as we went. She provided a lot of interesting facts as we navigated the city. You can not have a better guide in Chicago than Sylvie!! She tried her best to speak in our native language and prepared herself to give us information in Spanish. 5/5 is not enough! Sylvie is excellent. We spent 1/2 day with her and she adapted her tour perfectly to our requests and interests. She knows everything about the city, it's impressive. She is so kind and attentive. Thanks to her, we were charmed by our visit to Chicago.
During the trip, we will see: - Parts of the 16. 4 miles of the DuSable LakeShore Drive - Michigan Avenue, from the Mag Mile to Millennium Park - Cloud Gate and Buckingham Fountain (optional) - Some of the magnificent lobbies of our downtown skyscrapers - The Museum Campus and Northerly Island - five or six of our neighborhoods (may include Chinatown, Pilsen, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Jackson Park, Hyde Park, Andersonville). Along the way, I will tell you stories about our first settlers (indigenous and non-native), about how our porous soil has made us creative with construction, and how we reversed the river so our drinking water could be clean! You'll hear about battles, race riots, how Jazz grew up here, and more. Stories abound about Chicagoans' ingenuity, as well as our challenges. Come join me on a trip down memory lane and in today's beautiful, vibrant Chicago! PS: I can adjust this tour so the luxury driver is a separate expense. For a group or four or less, I can rent a car and drive.
