Come explore a fabulous city with a native and life-long Chicagoan. I offer many unique, off-the-beaten-path tours and can also customize your very own personal walking tour. All my routes can be seen by car as well. I am a Certified Tour Guide & member of the Chicago Tour-Guide Professionals Association and a former docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation for 5 years. I would love to share my passion and knowledge of this great city with you in a fun and non-traditional way. Please take a look at my routes and see if there is anything that piques your interest. Great for singles, couples & families on vacation, here for business or checking out the city before college. Let the urban adventures begin! I am a native Chicagoan and I am still here because what's not to love! I am a Certified Tour Guide (CTG) & member of the Chicago Tour-Guide Professionals Association. A former docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation.

After a quick introduction & overview of the Loop (downtown Chicago), you'll look like a local. Which way is East? Look for Lake Michigan! How do we know where we are? Easy, Chicago is laid out on a grid. Then we'll hop on the 'L' train and explore a few of Chicago's diverse 77 neighborhoods. The first stop is Uptown (the city's original entertainment district), then on to Argyle St. (little Chinatown) & last but not least Andersonville, originally predominantly Swedish, and a cherry orchard, now a very eclectic & diverse neighborhood. Are you ready for an urban adventure?
Let's meet at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel at Wabash & Monroe in downtown Chicago where we'll begin the tour. After a quick peek inside we'll jump on the cta 'L' train & exit at the Wilson station. On this route, you will experience living like a local & there is quite a bit of walking. I'll point out/explain the following sites: -Gerber Building/Wilson stop -Clifton Ave Street Art Gallery -Walk down Broadway towards Lawrence Ave (discuss the history & point out architecture from this once very popular entertainment district; the Riviera, Uptown & Aragon theatres & the Green Mill -Walk north on Broadway to explore Argyle St (little Chinatown) -Head west on Argyle St to Essanay Studios Landmark -Make our way to Andersonville, which began as a Swedish neighborhood, now a vibrant & eclectic neighborhood with great restaurants & shops. A great spot to end the tour so you can explore on your own & perhaps grab a bite & or drink. I will direct my guests on how to take the train or rideshare back downtown
