I am an enthusiastic guide to the beautiful, fun, architecturally and historically significant city of Chicago. I love sharing my favorite City and meeting visitors. Finding out why you are visiting, seeing all that is unique about Chicago through your eyes makes this a great experience for me, too! I especially enjoy tailoring tours to your interests. How the fire, a river and a lake shaped Chicago
Overview of your Chicago tour
Walk with me in my neighborhood as we see how the Fire of 1871 and our lake and river have shaped the beautiful, cosmopolitan city of Chicago. We will walk the City's newest attraction - Millennium Park. Continuing into the business district we will see examples of the historical buildings which arose from the ashes of the fire in the "loop"/business district. A short walk will lead to the River with its iconic structures including Marina Towers, Tribune Tower and the Wrigley Building plaza. The river walk provides different views and options for enjoyment - and can lead to the spectacular Lake front path. This tour provides vistas and many opportunities to discuss other opportunities for your time in Chicago!

We enjoyed our two hours with Nancy exploring the geographic and historical heart of Chicago. Although my wife and I had visited Chicago many times, Nancy added a local's perspective that gave us a greater appreciation for how residents live, work, and play. But, of course, she also provided solid background about the city's history. One thing we especially liked was going inside some of the city's more interesting buildings. We have always appreciated Chicago for its architecture. but mostly from the outside. Many buildings had stunning interiors I had never seen. Overall, Nancy plotted out a focused and efficient walking tour that would be great for those with little or no familiarity with the Windy City, but also, those who have been here many times.

Nancy walked us around Chicago pointing out parts of interest with tips. She gave tips for extra sights, eating n travel. Nancy was pleasant n answered all our queries. There was even an outdoor entertainment at Daly plaza which we 'lucked' on. We have enjoyed both experiences n will search for similar in the other cities we plan to visit.

We will walk through: - Millennium Park - Business district - River and the iconic structures (Towers, Tribune Tower and the Wrigley Building plaza) - The Lake front path Inclement weather will find us using the underground PedWay.
