I am an enthusiastic guide to the beautiful, fun, architecturally and historically significant city of Chicago. I love sharing my favorite City and meeting visitors. Finding out why you are visiting, seeing all that is unique about Chicago through your eyes makes this a great experience for me, too! I especially enjoy tailoring tours to your interests. Whether on foot, using public transportation, driving in my vehicle (van available for up to 6) or on your bus/vehicle, I will make sure you fall in love with this great city. I have lived in or near Chicago for most of my life. My perspective is enhanced by my degree in Urban Planning, time spent living in other cities and my passion for travel. I have experienced Chicago while single, as part of a couple, with my family of five and now as a couple again as we moved back into the City as empty nesters. Overview of your Chicago tour
I will take the microphone on your tour bus and guide the driver as your group sits back and enjoys an overview of Chicago. If your group is arriving from suburbs or other location outside the city, I will set a city meeting and ending location with you. I share the history of Chicago through our iconic flag so we often begin in the loop (business district) near the birthplace of the City where the River meets Lake Michigan. I enjoy sharing stories of the city I call home as we trace the history of the city to the south side Hyde Park site of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition and then follow how the city expanded north. Our time can provide opportunities for brief walks and discussions of Chicago's history, beauty, art, architecture and culture. The maximum size of the group is 55 for large buses. Generally tours cover the core of the City and the lakefront to show many icons of Chicago but customizing for your group and learning their interests is my specialty and my pleasure.
Your Chicago tour itinerary
Priced for 10 - available for groups including full size coach buses for 55 people. Advise and guide will provide custom proposal. May include but not limited to the historical city center, the new, popular west side, the south side Hyde Park site of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition and north along the Lake Front which includes a stop at the Museum campus with its breathtaking view of the city. Our trip will span much of the 18 mile long Lake Shore Drive along beautiful Lake Michigan leading to the 1200 Lincoln Park area on the north side.
