Chicago has been my home for almost 40 years, and I’ve witnessed its transformation throughout that time. I’ve always been involved in the Tourism industry in this city, which welcomes visitors from around the world - whether for business or leisure, since it offers beauty in all four seasons year-round! As a guide, I find it very satisfying to share everything this city and the surrounding metropolitan area have to offer, whether with first-time or returning visitors; from its culture and history to its ethnic neighbourhoods and the majestic skyline architecture. For me, every tour is different, with something new to learn in each adventure, and it’s always a joy to experience them with those eager to discover something about Chicago. This city has also given me the opportunity to raise a family, with three boys who made sure to keep their dad busy and always on the lookout for something new to enjoy throughout the year.

On this tour, I will take you to the place where the devastating Chicago fire began, which went from complete destruction to the culmination of magnificent works by many outstanding architects and planners. Having lived in this magnificent city I call home for nearly four decades, I have come to combine two of my favourite subjects: architecture and history. Together we will across the landmarks that have made Chicago famous for its architecture. But besides driving, we'll also walk through the streets of the Chicago loop area, where we'll get to admire the contrast between ashes and destruction to the incredible designs of minds like Daniel Burnham's, Louis Sullivan's, Frank Lloyd Wright's and the more contemporaneous Jeanne Gang's.
-Our tour will begin at the exact starting point of the Chicago fire. -We will then proceed to drive to the Museum campus, which includes the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium. -Afterwards, we will pass by the The Buckingham Fountain and then go across Millennium Park. -Next, we are going to cross the Michigan Avenue bridge and see the Wrigley Building. -Afterwards, we will drive through the Gold Coast area, followed by the Chicago River and State St. -We will visit the Harold Washington Library Center. -Next stop is the Rookery Building, followed by Union Station. -We will finish our walk around the striking Willis Tower -formerly known as the Sears Tower-. -At the end of the tour, I can drive you back to your hotel if so desired.
