Having moved to the Highlands of Scotland in 2008 I have become passionate about this wonderful part of the UK. I love to help people explore the wonders of the Highlands and passionate about the wildlife found within this beautiful part of Scotland. As a keen photographer I can help you take superb landscapes and city scenes. Walking tours are a special way of seeing some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. I enjoy birdwatching and can help you find some of the species found in the area from the ever present species to our seasonal visitors that visit. With so many special Outlander locations in the Highlands it is always a pleasure to help the fans of this television series explore those special sites captured by the series. All my tours can be customized upon request Qualified and fully insured through the Highlands of Scotland Tour Guides Association I am committed to keeping up my professional qualifications through dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) I prefer not to drive and guide my own vehicle. I can accompany and or drive you in your own vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Overview of your Inverness tour

Exploring the ancient town of Dornoch from the relocation of the Cathedral from Caithness, through to Charles Price of Wales and now King Charles III unveiling a magnificent window commemorating its 750th anniversary. See the remains of the site of the old market and visiting the Jail and Courthouse where justice was administered over hundreds of years. Visit the Witches Stone, where the last witch to be burn at the stake was put to death. See the statue commemorating the first fresh water to be brought to the town and the old well that was used for centuries to provide water to the residents. The walk is on flat paths but can be changed to provide panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and glimpses of Royal Dornoch Gold Course for the more able.

Your Inverness tour itinerary

• We will start in the town centre before visiting the magnificent former Cathedral but now the Parish Church of Scotland. • From the Cathedral we will visit the site of the old market before moving on to the statue commemorating the first fresh water to be piped into the town and the old system of supplying the town's water. • From here we will have a stroll through the narrow streets to the site where refugees rebuilt their lives following their cruel eviction due to the Highland Clearances. • Stopping at the Witches Stone you will see where the last legally executed woman convicted of witchcraft was burnt at the stake in the UK. • From here we will return to the town centre and go to Jail before visiting the Courthouse and ending our tour at the renowned Whisky Cellars. Or, for the more energetic, we can continue to climb a small hill to get a panoramic view of the town and surrounding area. Tour can be customized upon request
