I am passionate about the Scottish Highlands, and would love to show you the best of the area, share some stories, explain the history, give you a flavour of life in the Highlands today and help to make your vacation a fun, interesting, memorable one. I am passionate about the history of the Highlands and I am willing to share all this passion with you! Get collected in my Luxury (December) 2025 Mercedes 300D Exclusive XL with leather seats, privacy glass & air-con with seats for up to 6 passengers, and lots of Luggage space, for a 2h leisurely walking tour. I will take you to more than 10 stopping points of interest, including Inverness Castle and the River Ness, just to name a few (let's keep some surprises!). We will travel to Culloden Battlefield to re-live the final Jacobite uprising of 1746, take a short drive to the 4000 year old Clava Cairns burial chambers and standing stones. Visit Cawdor Castle (April-September) or Brodie Castle, steeped in history and intrigue, with magnificent gardens and great cafe's! Listen to few stories, some folklore and a chat about life in the Highlands today. I will tell you my secret: why I believe the Highlands are the most mystical relaxing place on earth.
This tour was a good combination of everything: city, churches, battlefields, prehistoric sites, castles, gardens and highland cows! Matthew’s native knowledge and personality made all the stories come alive. He was very flexible in timing the tour to ensure we saw what we were interested in at our own pace. We highly recommend this tour and Matthew.
Matthew was fantastic! One of the best private tours we've done. He was awesome with our infant daughter and had great suggestions for local restaurants and sights to see while we were in town. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting to tour the area and would absolutely book another tour with Matthew.

Matthew's knowledge of the area and its history is superb and extensive. We enjoyed our day with him tremendously. This Highland Tour was a day of endless energy, interesting knowledge and delightful laughter! Matthew guided us to Urquhart castle via a cruise on loch Ness. We stopped for freshly picked highland strawberries and photographed highland long hair steer (and sheep, for Amy). Our town's walk was beautiful and our local waterfront lunch site has amazing fish and chips. Matthew customized our tour and met all of our crazy requests! We wish we had a second day in Invergordon!

Travel time to Inverness (varies according to pick up point). INVERNESS WALKING TOUR - duration 2 hours Stopping at 15 points including Inverness Castle, The High Church, Flora MacDonald Statue, River Ness and its bridges. Plenty of facts and folklore about the Capital of the Highlands. This is a leisurely paced walking tour with plenty of opportunity for photo's and questions. CULLODEN BATTLEFIELD - duration 2 hours Battlefield tour with 7 stopping points followed by time in the award winning Visitors Centre. CLAVA CAIRNS - duration 30 minutes A visit to the ancient burial chambers and standing stones said to have inspired the time travel in Outlander. CAWDOR CASTLE and LUNCH - duration 2 hours Tour of the castle, lunch and time to explore the formal gardens. Travel back to drop-off point.
