Having qualified as a Scottish Tourist Guide for the North Highlands in 2018, I am brimming full of enthusiasm for showing visitors the delights of the Highlands, where I have lived and travelled extensively since 1997. My previous role as a charity event fundraising manager introduced me to the iconic scenery of the Highlands and developed my people and communication skills. I am also a member of a local Tourist Guide Association, which keeps me connected with the latest talks and information available. Whether you have interests in Scottish Culture, ancient castles, the sometimes bloodied history, famous wildlife, awesome geology, stunning lochs and spectacular mountains or just want to chill in one of the most unique areas in the world, off the beaten track, I would be delighted to guide you, and help create what I hope will be one of your most enjoyable and entertaining holidays. In my comfortable, roomy and air conditioned Skoda Superb Plug In Hybrid, I can driver guide for up to 3/4 people. For groups of up to 8 people, I can hire an Arnold Clarke people carrier, for an additional fee. I can also provide walking tours in the beautiful city of Inverness, where I am fortunate to live, which could be part of a day's tour. I can meet you at your accommodation near Inverness or your cruise ship in Invergordon, Ullapool or Fort William. The Highlands have been home to some amazing people and I want to share their stories with you, sample the delights of what they eat and drink and give you a taste of life in the Highlands today. You can choose one of my advertised tours, which can be adapted, taking care with the timings, or I am happy to provide bespoke tours for any "must sees" or "must dos" that you have. Several of my tours are suitable or can be adapted for wheelchair users and I am happy to design bespoke tours to help visitors with other disabilities make the most of the Highlands. Your enjoyment is my aim and with my informal, friendly and sometimes humorous approach, I want to provide an unforgettable experience in this beautiful and fascinating area, which can take your breath away! I gained my Scottish Tourist Guide Association Green Badge for North Highlands from the University of the Highlands and Islands and I'm a member of the Highlands of Scotland Tour Guide Association (HOSTGA). I have full indemnity insurance as well as an Emergency First Aid Training certificate.

Let's be different. You visit the restaurant (me!) and tell me what you like. I'll give you menus to mix and match. Off the beaten track or visit one of our beautiful castles. Dip your toes (or more) in Loch Ness. Enjoy a dram in the mountains or at a loch! Stunning West Coast scenery or the quaint charm of Cromarty. Maybe catch a salmon leap, see a Highland Coo, spot a deer, maybe a golden eagle or Red Kite. We can do Outlander sites, see how folk lived in 1700s, touch a stone. How about dressing up in an authentic Outlander costume and be photographed out in the Wilds?! Have afternoon tea where Bonnie Prince Charles stayed the night before the Battle of Culloden? Attend a private kilt making workshop, pick your own kilt As a friend writes…. Take it from me, the things you can see The wonders your eyes will behold. Mother Nature did good in this neighbourhood, It's a landscape of riches untold! And I want to tell them to you…. . Come on, let's have some fun and give you a day to remember!
I'll collect you from Invergordon or Ullapool ports or accommodation in the Highlands and we'll design a day around what you want to do and maybe the weather. Water falls, distilleries, lochs, mountains, riverside walks, beaches, coos, small cafes, panoramic scenes, historic buildings, old monuments, use a 200 year old key! Avoid the crowds We'll have a chat before or on the day and off we go… The tour will be tailored around your interests, provided they include cake and coffee!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Transport is in my modern, roomy, clean, air-conditioned Skoda Superb Estate. 3 passengers are comfortable. The middle seat would suit a child or teenager in a group of 4. For larger groups I can hire a 9 seater. This would incur an additional cost.
