Overview of your Glasgow tour
St Andrews is the "Home of Golf" and a must see for any golf enthusiast. On this tour you will step into the mecca of the golfing world. From the Royal and Ancient clubhouse to the Swilken Bridge you can walk in the footsteps of the great and the good. At the Links Clubhouse you can enjoy majestic panoramic views of the Old Course, the New Course and the Jubilee Course. If watching is not enough you can enjoy 18 holes at the challenging Himalayas Putting green. This fun experience will allow you to boast that you have played 18 holes at St Andrews. After immersing yourself in all that is golf you can choose to head out of St Andrews to the lovely little village of Anstruther where you will be able to enjoy award winning fish and chips or choose to jump even deeper into the golfing experience and stay in St Andrews to have lunch at the Tom Morris restaurant followed by a visit to the golf museum.
Your Glasgow tour itinerary
- Drive from Glasgow to St Andrews (Drive time is around 2 hours and a bit longer from Greenock for cruise visits) - After a brief overview of the main courses and highlights of the area, take a walk out to the course and get your picture on the famous Swilken Bridge and have some time to explore the many golf shops in the area. - Either head out to a local fishing village for some award winning fish and chips or challenge the other members of your group to 18 holes at the Himalayas Putting Green or enjoy some lunch at the Tom Morris Restaurant - Return to your pick up point. You will have 4 hours in the area of the golf courses but if you want to extend your time just ask for an extended tour. This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly.
